Marina Patong hotel — Hotel in Patong

What a dissapointing stay. After staying in this hotel which was highly recomended it was found to be inadequate and very dangerous. There was no lift to access the 4th floor 2 bedroom appartment we stayed in and the stairs were extremely steep and covered with beach sand that was never cleaned up.The bathroom had no shower curtain and no exhaust fan which created mould to grow on tiles which wasn't cleaned and a swimming pool around toilet.The beds were discustingly hard and doors wouldn't lock properly. We complained to management and they advised us to contact the people we booked through and found it impossible to contact anyone about our situation once they have your money they do not want to help you.There was a fire on a power pole outside hotel and management vacated premises without advising guests and there was no alarm to say there was a fire. The only way we were aware of this was when we smelt the smoke coming up the stairwell. Going on pictures of this hotel on the internet do not let the pictures full you with the seaviews as this place will let you down big time. We were forced to move hotels and lost money that was paid for accomodation due to the fact we could not get in touch with people we made the bookings through. I would hate to see anyone else full for the same trap we did and if you are elderly forget it you won't even get to the...

The hotel experience was far from satisfactory, primarily due to the numerous inconveniences that significantly impacted comfort and convenience. The room itself was cramped and uncomfortable, offering little space to move around freely. To make matters worse, the air conditioning was ineffective, failing to provide adequate cooling, which made the stay even more unpleasant.

Accessibility was another major issue. There was no lift access to the rooms, forcing guests to carry their own luggage up a steep and cumbersome staircase, which was highly inconvenient, especially for those with heavy bags or mobility concerns.

The swimming pool was a complete disappointment, as it was nothing more than a small, makeshift setup—a mere 15-foot poly water holder falsely advertised as a proper pool. This misleading arrangement fell drastically short of expectations for a premium stay.

The breakfast arrangements were equally subpar, with an unorganized setup and limited, unappetizing options, making it one of the worst dining experiences in a supposedly reputable hotel.
