Cielo Blu Bistro — Restaurant in Patong

I recently had an excellent experience at Cielo Blu Bistro in Phuket, Thailand, and I can't recommend it enough—definitely a 10/10!

The venue itself is stunning, with beautiful beach views, a well-ventilated space, and a clean aesthetic that makes for a pleasant dining atmosphere. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, specifically Julia and Manager Tangmo, who made me feel right at home. To kick off the dining experience, I was treated to a delicious welcome passion fruit shot, followed by a delightful amusebouche of a margarita pizza slice and cold towel. I really appreciate this attention to detail.

For appetizers, I enjoyed the fresh and crispy calamari, which came with top-quality sauce accompaniments. The prawn summer spring rolls were also a highlight, featuring the freshest seafood and bursting with flavor.

For the main courses, I tried the Pad ka prow, which was authentic and delicious, while the Pad Thai was beautifully presented and tasty—though it was a little too sweet for my taste - it was still really scrumptious.

To complement my meal, I savored a delicious iced cappuccino, along with a lychee/strawberry frozen margarita and an aperol spritz throughout my visit, both of which were incredibly refreshing.

The attention to detail and impeccable service throughout my visit truly stood out. I appreciated the wet towels provided, the availability of chargers, and the staff's willingness to take photos and suggest cocktails. I had the distinct pleasure of dining at Cielo Blu Bistro, a place where the ambiance is as refreshing as the mojito I’m about to claim. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was palpable – think “laid-back beach party” meets “urban chic,” with a hint of “I can almost see the sea, if I squint just right.”

The personnel here? They are the epitome of attentiveness. If you've ever felt neglected at a restaurant, fear not – the staff at Cielo Blu Bistro will definitely check on you. Repeatedly. It’s like dining with a caring aunt who’s constantly making sure you’re comfortable and full – but, you know, way cooler.

Now, onto the food. The pizzas? A symphony of flavors, perfectly crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside. The burgers? Juicy, stacked high, and quite possibly assembled by angels. Every bite feels like a culinary hug, a testament to the chef’s ability to elevate classic comfort food to a borderline spiritual experience.

And the sea view... well, it's almost there. Just like the dreams of becoming a professional surfer, it's tantalizingly close, but not quite in reach. However, what Cielo Blu Bistro lacks in direct seaside vistas, it makes up for with its impeccable atmosphere and hospitality.

The service was pathetic and to a point made us feel discriminated. We were the only table they neither took orders from, nor served on time or bothered to check if we needed something. The simple order of 2 drinks and 2 sides took 50 mins to arrive, after following up 3 times. They in-fact took our order after we signalled the 3rd time. A crab omelette had to be cancelled because they couldn’t bring it in after 40 mins of ordering and we were getting late for something planned at 9PM. So, my guess is they didn’t bother to serve us, not sure why since everyone else around is were being attended and finished earlier than us.

We went expecting good food which it was and I genuinely liked both the chicken dumplings and the spicy fried shrimp that came in with the tangy dip. The mojito were good too. But the way the entire thing made us feel, I would not recommend an Indian family go there. They were only invested in serving the rest. We saw every server attend to other groups repeatedly not even once to us.

Apologies if am wrong, but we even had a table at front, went in around 7:25 and 9 is when we finally lost it and asked for check. That came in under 5 mins. No surprise. The crab omelette which wasn’t served, was on it. They removed it later. But Thai hospitality is the best, just not...
