iPavilion Phuket Hotel — Hotel in Talat Nuea

We were initially greeted by a friendly staff member who kindly showed us to our room, but unfortunately, that’s where the positive experience ended. The moment we entered the room, we were hit with a strong moldy odor. As we began to inspect the space more closely, things only got worse. The room was extremely dusty—thick layers of dust behind furniture and near the bed, easily around 5mm thick. The air conditioner was filthy, which explained the musty smell in the room. It was honestly hard to imagine sleeping in such conditions, breathing in all that dust overnight. The bed had multiple yellow stains, which was deeply unsettling. There were also dirty shoe prints near the entrance, adding to the overall lack of cleanliness. In the bathroom, there was visible mold in the shower, and lighting was very poor—especially considering there were no windows. We immediately returned to the reception to check out. The staff offered us another room, which they called a "Penthouse." While it was slightly better, it was still dusty and not up to a livable standard. We asked for a refund and, after speaking with the owner, were offered only 50% back. We left and booked a different place entirely. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. We never planned to stay longer period in this hotel we basically wanted a place to keep our luggages and sleep when we do Island hopping and Old Phuket town sightseeing activities. That's the reason we booked this. But even by that standards it's still a really poor hotel, forget about 3/4 stars this is not even 1 star hotel, it's completely run down old hotel without any renovations being done or planned to be done in future. There was no hand towel, toothpaste/tooth brush, breakfast or restaurant in hotel, No A/C in lobby or staircases. Most of the time only one person in the lobby just watching YouTube videos and chilling, when we asked for tooth brush they asked to order it online from 7 eleven. It's definitely not safe with kids under any reasons because the upper floors have opened stair cases where if a kid goes through that they will be dead, it feels like a ghost town you will rarely meet another guest and some floors are very dark and creepy. This is my theory about this hotel I could be wrong but what I honestly think is that the owner doesn't actually care about services or making money using this hotel, what I feel is they are using this hotel as a front to do some other thing may be for tax reasons or to do...

I stayed here by ACCIDENT because of the previous hotel not been up to par thus spent just one night. It was AMAZING! MR ANG, Ms MA, Ms OWEE, and rest of staff were SUPERB IN THEIR HOSPITALITY AND GREAT ACCOMMODATIONS. I visited other places in my travels and decided to make this hotel my HUB upon my returns because they OUT SHUNNED ALL OTHERS IN ALL AREAS OF been OUTSTANDING! I will NEVER FORGET THEM AND THEIR GREATNESS! The rooms are SPACIOUS, CLEAN, COMFORTABLE BEDS ,PILLOWS, NICE SCENIC VIEWS FROM THE VAST BAY WINDOW. The SWEET AROMA THAT WELCOMES YOU AS YOU ENTER THE LOBBY( MORE THANKS TO MS MA) to the SAME WHEN ENTERING YOUR ROOM WAS A HEALING BALM from long trips and walks to and fro. The COOKIES AND TEAS WERE A PLUS TO PARTAKE OF ALL THROUGHOUT THE DAY, if wanted. I FELT AND WAS EMBRACED AS A PART OF THE FAMILY DURING MY LONG STAY AND EVEN NOW. KUDOS to ALL OF THEM!
