The best hotel I’ve stayed. I don’t typically write long reviews, but this hotel deserves one.
I have traveled all around the world and stayed in all sorts of accommodation but without a doubt, the Hotel Turkish House is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed. When I first booked them, they contacted me right away proving all sorts of helpful information.
My arrival couldn’t be more pleasant. Chisam the manager, was extremely welcoming and friendly. He even showed me the room before check-in to make sure I like it. My room was stunning with cute patio views, and beautiful and classic decor. The AC and shower were powerful and everything was in pristine condition. The bathroom had some fancy amenities.
Guests staying at the hotel were friendly and considerate. No major noises. The hotel has beautiful and classy decor, and I felt at home the whole time. Breakfast was also the best. You can choose what type of eggs you would like to order. Fresh juices, coffee, teas. Different kinds of pastries, cakes, deli meat, dairy, and fruits. Whoever bakes the Nutella cake, you are my hero!!
The hotel is located in a great and quiet Sulthanameth area. It’s mostly residential, and although it’s busy with cars during the day, it doesn’t get loud. As a female Solo travel I felt pretty safe returning to the hotel at 9-10pm.
In less than 5 minutes you reach all stores, restaurants, and attractions. Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and the metro are also nearby.
Every afternoon the hotel offers tea, cake, and cookies, and it was such a nice treat.
Overall, this has been such a great experience and I would love to...
Read moreWe stayed there for 5 days at the end of February. It is an absolute gem of a small hotel that provides, in our experience, quality, cleanliness, comfort and value. The room was comfortable, with an ensuite and internet access. The front desk is manned 24 hours. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the manager, Chisam, who provided a warm and attentive service. We took a light breakfast in the cosy breakfast room and were able to exchange experiences with other guests. The location is great. It is in the old quarter (narrow cobbled streets); very near to Sultanahmet where the Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern are located. The Blue Mosque is nearby as well but was closed for renovations. A tram line runs through Sultanahmet square that took us to Taksim square. Getting to and from the hotel was very easy, the manager arranged a taxi to and from the airport for us. We would unhesitatingly recommend this hotel and will stay there on our next visit...
Read moreHighly recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice hotel to stay in Istanbul. The hotel is very well-designed and decorated (and new as well). It is built on an ancient ruin, and you could literally see the thousand years old rocks underneath through the glass floor in the dining room. Also, the location is a 10, and it only takes 5 mins to walk to the blue mosque and Hagia Sophia. We had everything we needed in the room, and the mattress was exceptionally comfortable. I also loved the big nightstands with spacious drawers. I can feel the designer really put a lot of thought into making this place feel likes home. Breakfast is a must, especially the individually cooked omelette. All are welcoming and helpful, the manager in particular. We ask the hotel to book the airport transfer, and it’s so convenient (and so much better than arguing with the rude taxi driver that we have experienced several time...
