If I could give zero stars, I would. I’ve traveled extensively and even worked in the hotel industry for several years, and I’ve never encountered a more hostile or unprofessional experience than I did here.||||I had booked a room that explicitly stated it came with two twin beds. When we arrived, we were given a room with one bed. When we raised the issue politely with the manager (Murat), he immediately became aggressive, shouting that “it was only a request,” that the mistake was my fault, and that we should have canceled in advance. He claimed the twin beds were “never confirmed,” despite it being clearly listed on my booking confirmation — and at no point were we ever notified that the room we booked would not be available.||||He even went so far as to claim that hotels can’t hold specific room types for guests before arrival — which is simply untrue and contradicts standard hotel practice worldwide when a specific room type is listed in a confirmed booking.||||Then, shockingly, he told us to “get the hell out” and that we were no longer welcome at his hotel.||||Still trying to resolve things calmly, I found alternative accommodation and returned to ask for the booking to be canceled so we wouldn’t be charged. Murat refused, saying it was my responsibility (even though only the property can cancel a booking without fees after check-in). He became increasingly hostile, yelling and even calling my mother and me “f*ing crazy” before threatening to call the police.||||At one point, he refused to return the signed check-in document, and I had to take drastic action just to get back what was legally mine. Eventually, the tourist police had to get involved to mediate and retrieve the document.||||This man should not be in the hospitality business. His behavior was aggressive, volatile, and downright frightening. It turned what should have been a lovely trip into a nightmare. My mother, who has traveled the world for over 65 years, has never experienced something this appalling.||||Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this hotel. No one deserves to be...
Read moreWorst hotel and service ever received. This hotel advertised as wheelchair accessible, but it's anything but. If you are a wheelchair user, please stay well away.
When we arrived at 2am, the hotel reception staff (short man with beard) looked at my disabled brother in the wheelchair and just shook his head. The road to the hotel is very difficult to reach by car as it's a small side street cobble stone path.
The hotel is not suitable for anyone using a wheelchair as it has huge steps for the entrance and also internally. Even the ground floor.
Further, I stayed for one night only and then booked another hotel the following day.
Later, the hotel refused to provide a refund (for the nights I didn't stay) and showed no remorse for the stress and difficulty their lies about wheelchair access had on our trip. Very poor service.
Hotel not suitable for children at all as the floors creak and you can hear the rooms underneath, upstairs and next door. If you make a small sound at night staff and other guests complain. The bathroom is really small. I am 6ft. Could not stand upright in it. The AC was hardly working so it was really stuffy and hot at night, not great, especially for young children.
Further the pictures of the rooms advertised on booking.com are not what the rooms look like at all.
Only good thing was location if you sre fully abled person. It is an uphill but short 7 to 10min walk to Blue Mosque main area.
I've been to Istanbul over 5 times, this was the worst hotel by far.
The main purpose of this review is to help someone else. Especially if you or someone you are travelling with is a wheelchair user,...
Read moreNow if new and shiny minimalism is your thing this hotel is definitely not for you but for those of us who love a bit of character and quirkiness and don't mind a bit of shabby- sheek this hotel is 100% for you. It is so original and unique. We absolutely loved it. Someone must of had such fun finding all the amazing treasures.||Beware though the rooms are spread over several floors with no lift so if you have mobility issues you may need to request the ground floor. However, it would be an absolute shame to miss out on the landings of each of the higher floors. They are truly amazing. The staff are lovely and very helpful and will help you up and downstairs with your luggage so don't let the lack of a lift be the cause of you missing out on this little gem. ||The hotel is in an excellent location on a quiet street but literally a 2 mins walk round the corner from the start of the main tourist area and shops. It's also less than 10 mins from the promenade. ||Our bed was amazingly comfortable, the rooms have essential air-con. I must admit at only 5ft 1" short the shower was somewhat of a step up and into, in our room anyway but once in the shower there was plenty of hot water. ||Breakfast is continental and more than adequate for us but if you like a more substantial breakfast there are plenty of places a few steps away offering just that.||There is a beautiful little enclosed garden which is the perfect oasia to take your own refreshments to chillax and escape the mayhem of the beautiful, exciting vibrance that...
