I've booked and paid 4 nights for a double standard room at this hotel through a travel agency, the reservation was made one month before my trip to istanbul. I've asked a confirmation from them, 3 days before my check-in date, and received the confirmation that everything is ok. ||Arriving at this hotel for the check-in, the receptionist told us that our reservation is cancelled in their system, and that there are no rooms available, and that we need to stay at another hotel for the first night at return the next day at the Timeks. I've asked if the room has the same standards as the room in Timeks, and they said "yes". Arriving at the other hotel (200m distance from timeks) they gave a us a room near the reception and right next to the kitchen.I could hear all the people that came to reception, while in the morning at 4AM, I was awakened by the sound of the dishes washed in the kitchen. After this first terrible night they promise to take our luggage to timeks at 2PM when they do the check-in while we visit the city. In that day there was hard rain, and when arrived at Timeks at 2PM, they said that they didn't took our luggage because of the rain. Finally we had to wait for another hour to bring our luggage and provide the room. When we were took to our room, another SHOCK, the room was at the underground level, and when I asked the receptionist what type of room is this, she said ECONOMY! I showed them my voucher from travel agency where I paid for a STANDARD room (this rooms are at the upper level, and have better conditions). They said that they don't have standard rooms available, and that i should contact my agency to do a refund and to recalculate the amount for ECONOMY. OK so I've contacted my travel agency to resolve this issue, and I went to our ECONOMY double room, where I've notice that the ceiling was flooded with water and drip from the morning rain. Returned to the reception to let them know about this problem, and they came with the proposal to provide 2 single economy rooms at underground level, because those were the only one available without being flooded. Anyway we stayed in those rooms where it was a terrible smell of mold. So overall it was a terrible experience at this hotel, that i hope none else will experience. We asked for a refund from the owner through our travel agency but we didn't received any compensation from the hotel until now. When I post the actual review. He sends messages and abuses. This shows the standard of so-called Manager Mr. Aufaq. Trust me or not. I have been traveling around the globe for the last 10 years. This is the worst hotel so far I have found. Whatever the facilities they will mention on the booking. They did not fully fill. If you ask for any committed services. They replied in a way that leaves the hotel if you don't want. Mr. Aufaq. Please better work on some customer services. Dear Owner of this hotel, You guys need to hire some who know how to handle the customer well instead of trying to fight or start sending abusive WhatsApp. In short, this hotel doesn't worth to stay. Please find an alternative option or the Management of this hotel need to hire more professional to take care of their customer care matters. This message is not to attack anyone. I'm just sharing what actually was the had happened. If someone traveled all the way from the Middle East and then at the end, the Hotel person instead of providing written or committed services asked to leave the hotel.That shows how well this hotel is handling their customer. Read moreIts just over 3 stars. Best thing of this hotel was its manager UFAQ. He deserves 5 stars - extremely helpful , kind and generous person. God bless him. Hotel staff comprised of 3 ppl only - a day manager - a night shift manager and a house keeper lady who can't even say hello in English. This lacking made us annoyed many times afterwards.
It was breakfast included hotel but i really can't acknowledge breakfast quality and variety. Only cold items served in bfast apart from tea. No juice at all. Very limited items.
They also gave us the option of pcr test at hotel which we opted for 250 tl each.
Out of 11 nights ist 5 nights satellite channels weren't working for which manager gave us discount as well. Its just few mins walk from blue mosque. This property is literally in the centre, everything is at a stone's throw.
Room service wasn't regular. And if it was done it only included slipper provision and fresh towels thats it -no brooming at all.
Location wise it's best property. If you are traveling alone or friends opt this hotel but not suitable for families with kids. Off road parking. No disable entrance . It was very very hard to carry heavy suitcases and enter the building by stairs but thankfully found a working lift inside though. If I'll travel alone I'd prefer this but not...
