Changcheng Restaurant — Restaurant in Fatih

After several days of turkush food we wanted to eat Chinese. We went to ChangCheng restaurant. I choose a soup and dumplings for a relative acceptable price, higher then in germany, but just acceptable. And then we asked if they also have fried duck and they showed us a picture which was without price. Assuming the price similar to the other meals with meat, we ordered the duck. It came without rice or noodles or vegetables or sauce, only with some cucumber & uncooked scallions at the edge of the plate and a kind of bread which was closer to dough. The duck was dry and definitively not freshly fried, the sides had been prepared some time ago and were dried out. The soup was tasteless and close to water. The dumplings were not the best, but ok, just cold. Next to it 1 Coca-Cola. In the end we payed 77€, of which 48€ was only for the duck! 1680 turkish Lira for a dry & old duck with almost no sides!! In germany you get a duck with rice and vegetables from 10€ upwards and it tastes wonderful. SO ATTENTION: SCAMMING!!! THE WORST CHINESE ON...

I must say compared with the Chinese restaurant in Cappadocia, this restaurant is really NOT worthy of waste on money.

They are doing travel agency 团餐，so you can imagine the raw materials of the food, even the first time the rice served to us is cold, we let them take back to warm up. Not to mention the dishes we ordered, again, not worthy of waste of money.

The service there is comparatively ok at least they have 2-3 good guys to serve you. And then again the Cashier is really not that smart and flexible but eventually we made him accept the way we wanna pay cause by that time we are leaving Turkey and we don’t want to have more Liras(partially Liras and partially RMB through bank card, cause he said they cannot accept the WeChat event the WeChat QR code is posted next to the cashier).

In Summary, not...

Upon entry my family and I were greeted by the host and given a warm welcome with plates and itineraries ready.

Servers and hosts were attentive, friendly and polite. Happy to help us around the menu and ensured we were content with the experience at all times.

Starters and Dishes all looked the same if not better than the photos displayed. Portions were well presented, alongside the tender sweet chicken, rice and dumplings I had ordered, All made me want to order a second time to take home!

Out of all the nearby Chinese restaurants, this ChangCheng 100% takes the crown in keeping me as a satisfied and returning Diner!
