Just returned home having spent a week at the hotel. The hotel is in the middle of the old town so an amazing location for food, drinks, bars and importantly short bus rides to the various beach resorts in Antalya. It is also 25 minutes from the airport. Firstly the staff are absolutely superb each and every member. If you want a fresh coffee at any point they are always happy to prepare this for you. Their homemade lemonade is delicious too although this does incur additional charges. For breakfast, they are happy to prepare eggs whichever way you like. You also have a choice of drinks, Turkish coffee and tea. There is also a choice of cereals and cakes. First few days were great but as with anything, having the same limited choice for a week does become a bit monotonous but I do think we stayed longer than most people do. The room we stayed in had excellent air conditioning, was cleaned superbly. The power shower just brilliant. Didn't go to Turkey to watch tv but flicking through there are no English film channels just bbc and sky news. German and Russian channels dominate. The only real downside, the windows do not provide any sound proofing at all - even fully closed, you are exposed to any noise from people walking past, dogs barking and next door neighbours who decide to have a get together on the street at 1am etc etc The hotel has its own swimming pool which has some shade if you take a dip late afternoon. The swimming pool area sits right at the back of a club and in the evening you can hear the music and singers until midnight. All in all a super hotel although in hindsight I would only have stayed a maximum of three nights here and moved closer to the beach for...
Read moreI would say I was extremely disappointed for our first day arrival . The man from the reception was so so rude to us .he saw me and my kid entered and calling for reception for three times and he was smoking just next to the door we passed . He did nothing and said nothing then there is one couple just came back and told him there are ppl awaiting he stood by the door looked at us and said “ yea I know and back to smoke again !!!!!” After few minutes he came inside and asked for our passport etc .. he started to told me about the breakfast time than he said “ do you understand?” Ahhahahahhahahahaha what a bummer…! 2nd day in the morning we went for breakfast . The young lady and the owner were so warm . by the time when we were waiting for our driver after breakfast I talked about what happened to us from our arrival night . And the lady was surprised and apparently she got the point what I ask talking about . Ofcoz she was sorry for what happened to us . Till the day we left fortunately I did not see that man anymore . I would say the owner and the lady’s kindness made me change my decision as I was about to leave a negative comment for the services base on the rude attitude the man gave us . Anyway anyhow Im here for happy holiday time with my kid . Gotta Stay away from negative energy! This is a hotel with 9 rooms .the one we have not that big but enough for us 2 . In the center of old town but also not by the street of the bars so it’s quiet. 5 minutes walk to the Hadrian’s Arch. could be a Good choice for a...
Read moreI stayed at Lykia Old Town for 2 nights based on its exceptional Google reviews. While there were several positives, I left feeling that it didn’t quite deliver value for the price.
What I liked:
Fantastic location – Right in the heart of Antalya’s Old Town, everything from shops and restaurants to historical sights and the marina is just a short walk away.
Warm hospitality – The staff was incredibly sweet, attentive, and helpful throughout my stay.
Breakfast – A clear highlight. The handmade/homemade breakfast was fresh, generous, and lovingly prepared—one of the better ones I’ve had at boutique hotels.
What could be better:
Room size & hotel scale – The rooms are extremely small, and the hotel itself feels quite compact.
Pool – It didn’t meet my expectations and looked more aesthetic than functional.
Value for money – At €282 for two nights, I found it quite overpriced. I’ve stayed in similar centrally-located boutique hotels (albeit without breakfast) in other cities for nearly a third of the price. Even nearby Airbnbs in Antalya were significantly cheaper.
Overall: If location, breakfast, and warm service are your top priorities, Lykia Old Town delivers. But if you’re looking for spacious rooms and better value, you might want to explore other...
