Appalling Experience – Complete Lack of Hygiene, Privacy & Accountability
I had one of the worst hotel experiences of my life at La Quinta Hotel, Abu Dhabi Al Wahda. After returning to my room from being out for the day, I was horrified to find a clear urine stain on the bathroom seat. This was absolutely shocking, especially considering the room was occupied by two women only. It is physiologically impossible for such a stain to be left by us — and let me be very clear: this was not there when we left the room.
The only logical conclusion is that a male housekeeping staff member entered the room and used the bathroom in our absence, which is not only a complete violation of privacy but also a disgusting breach of hygiene and basic hospitality ethics.
To make matters worse, I raised this issue immediately and have been trying to contact the person in charge for five days straight, with zero response or follow-up. Not a single call, apology, or attempt to resolve the matter. This is not just negligence — it’s a blatant disregard for guest dignity and safety.
What adds insult to injury is that I had already highlighted concerns about hygiene during check-in, requesting a clean and well-maintained room, and was reassured it would be handled. Clearly, that was an empty promise.
This entire experience is deeply disturbing and I will absolutely never stay here again. I strongly urge anyone considering this hotel to rethink their decision. Between the unsanitary conditions, unprofessional staff, and nonexistent customer service, this hotel does not deserve your trust...
Read moreChecking in took long time, though only us checking in!!!, the receptionists with worst attitude, they interrupt you while you talk and sometimes they totally ignore you, especially duty manager ( mahabir ) who talks in high tune and make us feel unwelcome.
Hamid and rocelle refused to give the gm name,,and when insisted after they took few minutes to discuses the gm name issue!! They gave his first name saying they dont know his second or family name!!!!! Where is hospitality?????
Later went to the room and I was shocked as in few minutes I was not able to breath due to: HUMIDITY : every where, dust all over TOILET seat : with stool spots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BED : with stains and SINK: is partially blocked. PRESSURE OF WATER IN shower: very week to bath
I wanted to meet gm they said OK, they called finance manger, who took note of what I said, as if its my duty to check the room for them and they make me feel as this complain is normal thing to them,,that made me even more upset. Later after 3 hours waiting in lobby as I can't set in my room, they offered me a smaller room saying its executive, though I know for sure its standard room.
The staff including finance manager (yousef) said they r giving me executive room, but the room im in is not for sure.
I would like this to reach the General manager as I guess that's not OK at allllll I m here in business and holiday, but I have never been upset and...
