I was meeting my friend from after 12 years and we chose to go to Velocity on Saturday (06-07-2024). We arrived at the venue around 4.10 and the Manager at that time had only asked us our Id as the usual protocol and let us in telling the offer we chose was valid only from 4-10 pm. My friend and I were in long shorts and the manager was well aware about it before we entered the place. We were having good time catching up and more friends joined us there . We even joined and sang couple of songs with the lovely lady singing at the venue. Later the Manager comes to our table at 6 and informed us as per the protocol we need to leave the venue by 7 pm since after 7 they have a no shorts policy . I told the manager why he didnt inform us about this earlier when we were buying the tickets. If we had known that was the case we would never had walked in . We informed the manager that we are only few drinks away and once we finish them we will leave the place coz we paid for it and the management was in fault at first place . The manager acknowledged his mistake and told that is okay and we continued to enjoy our reunion. Later one of the security person also came to our table and after the same inconvenience we faced earlier the security also agreed and left. Later at 7.05 Pm we Came across the worst manager we have met in UAE. He didnt show any kind of empathy for their mistake and forced us to leave the venue telling the policy of no shorts past 7 pm and ppl are waiting. THERE WAS NO FLY ALSO IN THAT VENUE WHEN WE WERE LEAVING WAITING TO ENTER THE PLACE BECAUSE IT IS THE LAST PLACE ANYONE WOULD GO TO HAVE A GOOD TIME. I dont have the name of the manager who ruined our day with his bad energy but I would suggest the venue to replace him at the earliest or have him go through Customer management course again to have more crowd in future or atleast have a crowd in future

It was our very first time to try and enjoy the known busy bar(velocity) here in abudhabi since we are not really fun of night life. But what we expect is not in reality. When we came there, it was crowded and we need to wait for our turn to pay the entrance.. that's totally fine!
The time we were about to pay, we paused for few seconds to decide if we are going to pay by card or cash. ( THE RECEPTION ) the fat black lady with long hair disrespectfully said "NEXT" . I and my friends were shocked cos as if she doesn't want to welcome us and showing her bad attitude towards us , not having a proper customer service at all. I asked them what's wrong? And she just look at me as if she owns the hotel. Without any words .
THE MANAGER- the short Indian guy . I talked to him regarding it but he just ignored me and walk away..no response at all. Bravo to your unprofessional manager..
What kind of staff and manager you have in your establishments? Very unprofessional !!! We understand the traffic and how tired you may be at that moment but you need to set your standards in handling customer service.. If you guys are not happy in assisting customers then better resign and give that position to the right person.
I've seen and observed how crowded inside but you should not make it as a reason to be rude and ungrateful. That's how you get paid by the way..

I was going to take some video to share my experience here in Velocity because it is popular here in UAE, using the glass to be my standee of my phone, but suddenly my glass fell down in the bar and your'e staff came and his name is George. I was saying sorry for many times because that's not intentionally happened. But he's staring at me like he is so much mad. I think he is not suitable in Hospitality field. And while i want to take some video again to share my friends this place i used ur offer/Menu standee and this Yasir took it out like i don't understand. Maybe just a quite review only of your'e staff to know proper manners specially in pub venue. The good thing is there is one kabayan lady to feel sorry on what they did to us. Kudos to you Ate!!!!❤️ Yasir and George, They don't have patients to their guests, and that's so embarrasing. But over all total, VELOCITY was the best.
