Jules — Restaurant in Dubai

This bar used to be the best filipino bar in Dubai with the high standard when it comes to service and entertainment, but it’s ashamed that it has now changed a lot! I went there with my friends group of 10 for a birthday celebration the other night but in a big surprise a lot has changed, the band whom we always look forward to be seeing was not there anymore specially the male singer RR and replaced by a messy one, they are just loud and very disorganised and the type of music they play are just the same with the prev band but the prev band plays A LOT BETTER!! The food is always good at Jules but I am very disappointed with the entertainment now as we used to enjoy the music and get up on the dance floor. The service sucks I was looking forward to speaking to a manager named Sanjay (as per the waiter) to complain about the service we were getting, it was so slow and incorrect orders were given but he never attend to our table which makes it more frustrating. The manager whom used to manage it, Mr Larry was very approachable, and he makes sure that he attend to every table to say hi and check on us every time we were there with my friends, or sometimes i go with my family but most of the time with my colleagues and he runs the bar with flying colors, but now it seems like its just one of the cheap filipino bars you will find in Dubai. I've been going to this for 20 years. Essentially it divided into 3 areas an external seating area for food with its own bar, an internal bar area with with ladies at your discretion with a 3rd seating area between the bar but close to the live band. Ladies are not permitted in the external area and by invitation only in the seating area next to the band. So you have your choice as to whether you wish to mix it with the acoutrements or not! The predominantly Mexican food is excellent, the staff are even better and super friendly and helpful. The pricing as you would expect for a 5 star hotel is on the higher side for all f&b but there is no entrance fee. I think it gives an excellent choice as to how you would wish to enjoy an evening.
