I had a terrible experience with Saffron Hotel. When I went to book the hotel, they didn't even provide a receipt. After booking, I checked into the hotel only to find that it was in an extremely poor condition. The washroom was so tiny that it was impossible to take a proper shower, and the height of both the room and the washroom was barely 5.7 feet. It was uncomfortable and unsuitable for anyone to stay. The entire place smelled awful, and the room wasn’t clean at all. It was shocking how badly maintained the hotel was. Within 45 minutes of checking in, I decided I couldn't stay there anymore. I went to the reception to request a refund, but the receptionist was uncooperative and kept making excuses. She outright refused to issue a refund and was extremely rude throughout the conversation. When I asked to speak to the manager, things got even worse. The manager was just as rude as the receptionist and showed no intention of resolving the issue or providing a refund. They refused to return my money 300 AED and didn’t even give me a receipt for my booking. I left the hotel, losing my money, and had to find another place to stay. It was a terrible experience, and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid at all costs!

If there was an option for zero stars, this place would deserve it. The so-called manager at Saffron Hotel behaves as if Dubai is his personal property — arrogant, disrespectful, and completely unfit for hospitality. His attitude is beyond disgusting; he talks down to customers as if we owe him something, and dares to criticize the guests who pay to stay here. The hospitality is absolutely pathetic. Forget “guest service” — they treat guests like intruders. Apparently, according to this hotel, customers aren’t even allowed to have guests! What kind of ridiculous rule is that in a city like Dubai, known for its tourism and respect for people? The manager’s tone and behavior were shockingly rude, showing no manners, no empathy, and no sense of how to handle customers. He needs serious training on how to speak to people. The entire management attitude screams unprofessionalism and ego. If you value your peace, respect, and dignity — stay far away from this hotel. There are hundreds of better options in Dubai that actually understand what hospitality means.

I had a wonderful stay at the Saffron Hotel near Al Rigga. The location is superb, with easy access to the Al Rigga Metro Station, making it convenient to explore Dubai. The neighborhood is vibrant with plenty of restaurants, shops, and attractions within walking distance. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. My room was spacious and well-equipped, with a cozy bed and modern amenities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. Breakfast at the hotel's restaurant was a delightful experience, offering a good variety of delicious options to start the day. The hotel's free Wi-Fi was reliable and fast, which was a great plus for me. Overall, the Saffron Hotel provides excellent value for money and a pleasant stay in a prime location. I highly recommend it for both business and leisure travelers.

I booked on March 30, 2024 for 3 nights. March 31 - April 3 , the receptionist took my ID then after I paid the bill and she gave me a receipt, after I booked I asked the receptionist what my brother needs to show because he will be first he will check-in. because I'm still at work. The receptionist said, just show them the receipt with your name and booking reference on it. The last few days, our stay here was okay, there’s no problem except the wifi. Today is our last day here around 1:40 am when I reached the hotel from outside. I smiled at the receptionist and when I was walking to the elevator there was a security guard there he asked me which room I showed my access card I said 401, so I thought it was okay. when I entered the room, someone rang the doorbell, when I checked before I opened it I saw the security guard then I opened the door. He suddenly asked me for my ID and then I asked for what? Why? He insisted on taking my ID. because they said I didn't give ID , so I gave it along with the receipt booking paper given by the receptionist when I booked. and his approach is not good. Is that how you treat your guests? you tell me that I did not provide ID, how did I book here in your Room or Hotel without ID? then I went down to the reception with the booking receipt and to follow the secuity because he took my ID. When I was at the reception, the way the receptionist and security guard talked to me was very unprofessional because they insisted that I did not give ID. second, you asked me earlier when you saw me going up to my room, why from there you didn't ask my ID? , then why do you have to go to our room , they said it's not in their system! I said they would check the cctv when I booked if I didn't give ID. especially the security guard, the way you approached me it’s not good, the way you talk to me as if I'm not a guest. then when I left , while waiting for the elevator, he still didn't stop talking, and he even said something bad to me! so I came back and said what did you say? repeat what you said! . Your customer service is not good and I will never recommend this hotel because you did not treat well your guest ! very poor...

I spent 2 days going around all the cheapest hotels in this area, looking at their rooms and asking some questions as I need somewhere to stay for a couple of months. While this place has a lot of issues, I do feel like I got a good deal for the money. The hotel opposite Saffron is charging more and they was storing a broken washing machine in the room I was shown there 😂 Cleanliness of the room was not good on arrival, but at least no bugs. Internet speed is good, (and free) but you need to enter a new code every day and it's a pain to log into (especially as every device needs a different code 🤦‍♂️) The phones need fixing, often I need dial reception to transfer me to room service and tonight another guest got my room asking me to deliver him water 😂 The TV is vintage, don't expect to be able to plug any modern devices into it. Also only half the wall power sockets work, so I had the choice of having power to my TV or my fridge, not possible to use both 🤦‍♂️ Engineering can bring you a 4 way to temporarily fix this but it's such an obvious thing you shouldn't have to call them and ask!

Room service is excellent, very fast and efficient, and some of their food is really good. Butter chicken and chilli chicken are 2 of my favourites. The burgers are my least favourite but they are very good value at 16dhs with fries. I only learn Uttam's name so far from room service, he is a lovely guy. The only negative here is they charge for ice which I sort of expect to be free...?

All the staff are very friendly and helpful, for me this is important, things break everywhere but a professional team helping you out makes a big difference. Reception and the security are particularly nice. They either need a pay rise.... or are too happy and need a pay cut so the hotel can afford some maintenance 😂

Overall I highly recommend this place if you are looking for one of the cheapest hotels in Dubai. I have honestly stayed in a 4 star hotel in Barsha Heights which was worse than this. If you are on holiday and won't be watching TV all day and only have 1 phone which requires WIFI this...
