Consistently excellent and delicious coffee. Every cup is made with care - and you can also buy home-made cinnamon buns that remind me of my time in Sweden! They use Climpson and Sons beans - the coffee is quite rich, smooth, and nutty - so it works very well in espresso or a coffee with milk in it.
The iced coffee is great too - it's closer in flavour to dutch cold drip or Japanese siphon coffee, so you get a really smooth, rounded flavour where the sweetness is subtle and contained within the crema of the shot, which is then done over ice and finished with mineral water (not tap).
If you're after something sweet and syrupy and lashed with whipped cream, you're better off visiting a Starbucks - Lever and Bloom specialise in coffee, not coffee flavoured drinks. The beauty of this small stall is the attention to detail put into every drink. They don't do filter, siphon, Aeropress or pour-over coffee yet - these guys specialise in espresso for now (and I think the Bloom in the name means they will do pourover in the future), but if you're after a different extraction method, there are plenty of places nearby - including Store St coffee and, if you're willing to travel, Monmouth coffee in Covent Garden and Borough Market.
The barista and owner at Lever and Bloom is always happy to talk about coffee and is passionate about his craft. He is very generous with sharing his knowledge about his lever powered machine, coffee, roasting, extraction methods and sourcing beans - and there's a great sense of community in this stall, the regulars and visitors alike always come by to chat and it reminds me of an owner-operator Japanese Kissaten (70s style coffee lounge), or one of my old coffee haunts in Sydney. Highly recommended - especially on...

Read moreIf I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would! The food, service, and atmosphere are truly exceptional. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance that sets the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The bun is incredibly delicious, boasting a perfect balance of flavors and textures that easily ranks it among the best I've ever had. The coffee is a standout as well, with its rich, organic taste that elevates every sip. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the wonderful staff. Tomek and Mariam, in particular, go above and beyond to ensure every visit is memorable. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and genuine care for the customers make each visit a delight. They consistently brighten my day with their exceptional service and warm smiles. All these elements combine to create a dining experience that is nothing short...
