Overall fantastic quality, fresh tasting arancini with delicious flavour combinations. A memorable place for the best reasons 👍 Here is my honest opinion on the flavours:
Standout flavours: Mushroom and Fontina cheese Pistachio, pancetta and fontina cheese
Not as expected: Beef arancini (not enough beef in here), Aubergine and tomatoe (could get a strong flavour of basil. Aubergine didn’t add flavour, only texture)
Mediocre: Spicy Nduja and mozerella (tasted like the tomatoe and cheese but with a spicy kick- not too spicy)
Nothing special: Ham & Fontina cheese (more gourmet version of this is the pancetta and pistachio). Spinach and cheese (tasty but strong basil flavour) Tomatoe and mozzarella (tasted like a pizza topping). More exciting flavour of this was the spicy Nduja and mozerella
Great service. Food was served piping hot. Careful not to burn your lip/tongue! Small bench for seating inside and around 6 tables and chairs outside to sit on and short walls outside to sit on too. Value for money…I’d say £6.50 for one arancini is still quite overpriced. Cleanliness…excellent, no complaints here from what I noticed. Service & Staff- polite, well mannered and efficient- the spinach arancini had run out and he asked his colleague straight away when the next batch would be ready and as soon as it was ready, he came over and handed it to me outside.
Would I recommend? Most definitely!👍⭐️ Already...
Read moreLooking for a quick pre-theatre bite... With numerous Thai and Lebanese options nearby, beloved surprised me by choosing this small Sicilian spot specializing in arancini.
The concept is simple but executed brilliantly - a selection of different flavored arancini that you can pair with drinks. Don't let the straightforward menu fool you; these rice balls pack both tremendous flavor and surprising substance! I ordered the cacio e pepe arancino which was absolutely phenomenal. Beloved picked tomato and mozzarella. Pleasant pizza-like flavors, though not quite as exciting as the cacio e pepe. The true surprise was dessert - an arancino filled with Nutella. The contrast between the crispy exterior and the warm, melted chocolate inside was simply perfect. I'd come here just for this and coffee.
These arancini may appear modestly sized, making you question the price point, but be warned - they are incredibly filling!
The shop itself is small with limited seating, but that fits its grab-and-go concept perfectly. While I wish the prices were a bit lower, for central London and the quality received, it represents...
Read moreOh my god, this is truly the best arancino in London, even better than Etna coffee in Baker Street, which has been my go to place for sicilian street food. I'm Italian and my mum is Sicilian so I know what a good arancino/a should be. Tbf I had worse arancini even in Sicily. These are perfection, crispy outside, melty, juicy and hot inside, not dry or chewy at all (as sometimes happens when they stay there all day and become floppy), you can tell they are freshly made. I seriously don't understand the other reviews which say it's not good. If you don't like this type of food you shouldn't compromise the rating because of personal preference. These are objectively good, comparing to other arancini. So if you are a arancini lover, go for it, you won't regret it! I was sad to not see Italian staff, which always makes it feel more authentic. Only advice I'd give is add a menu either online or on the wall with all arancini flavours explained, so people can choose while in the queue. Will come back certainly and will bring friends...
