I was harassed by the front desk staff who repeatedly pretended he couldn’t hear me (courtesy of abusive white Americans who have been stalking me and bullying staff at other places to do the same) and despite having 10 pens on his desk that he one by one picked up and examined he “couldn’t find a pen” during check in. I was also followed inside by an Asian girl whose key wasn’t working at night. In the early morning, a woman woke me up by banging loudly on my door (it’s been happening at other hotels as well) and pretended it was in error. Other than that the property has no issues and the room is good, but this harassment is horrible and life-threatening.
The next day, stalkers proceeded to close the street for “construction” and run a jackhammer constantly in front of the hotel. I wouldn’t have noticed if the window in the room wasn’t open because the property has decent soundproofing and the bathroom fan is actually louder than the outdoor noise when the window is closed. It’s too bad that I checked out on this same day and they didn’t care to close the next block of the street where I’m checking in now, so their loud construction harassment is for nothing (and loud construction harassment right after I check in has been happening at other...
Read more£419 for three nights ! Victoria station quite close…great. |ROOM 12….Stay away from that room because….|Look behind the bed when you accidentally drop something. Grubby. 6am first morning….no water in shower. No one on reception and No answer when you phone the number on door. KNOCK LOUDLY and a bloke wakes up behind the door, duvet on floor of his reception area. Bleary eyed he got it going 10 min later. NO APOLOGY. Takes another 5 minutes for water to run hot. Constant noise, humming/vibration every six seconds stop/start 24/7. Two hangers. Asked for more. Blank expression and nothing forthcoming. No personality whatsoever from the ONE MEMBER OF STAFF we ever saw in three days. Breakfast ? Well….see for yourself. Cheap in every aspect. You decide. Wobbly tables. Spillages everywhere. Watch out for that hot weak tea/coffee going over you in the cramped conditions.AND, they ask you to tidy up your bowls and plates etc after you’ve finished eating. Rubbish in the bin, plates out back on a tiny table. Ha!|100% rip off. Very surprised BOOKING.COM have it on their site.|As yet they’ve not sent me the usual survey they usually ask you to fill in....
Read moreIt's a great option if you're spending just a night or at most two in London. Wouldn't recommend staying here for longer than a night, really. The location was wonderful and very near the main Victoria train station and Apollo theatre (where they're showing Wicked). The rooms were extremely small, had very little space, barely enough for our luggage, and completely unsuitable for the claustrophobic. If you're particular about your accommodation bathrooms, you wouldn't enjoy the ones here. They're clean but extremely basic and again, really, really small and squeezy. Shower pressure was great but the shower compartment really small. The staff are so nice and friendly, especially Zul. Breakfast provided every morning added a nice touch. Not luxurious but substantial and enough to fill you up for a long day. The charges were decent but I personally would go with a pricier option next time because it wasn't comfortable sacrificing comfort for cost. This accommodation was a good notch above a higher-class backpacking hostel, but we'll go with a more spacious and comfortable choice next time...
