First the positives - the room 10b in Bower House not the Georgian Main House for one night had a comfortable bed, it was clean and although snug was adequate for my needs. The check is at the main house and was welcoming. Tea and a coffee was provided and adequate towels, spare pillow , iron etc . Functional and on first settling down it was fair and I would say I was content that it would do the job for what i needed. Negative- Basement Room 10b The actual entrance to Bower House is not lit and signage not clear if dark. Do note however the bathroom is not designed for people of a larger build. This room is not for travellers with big luggage as staircases and hallways narrow. Fire door that led to basement room kept open at night despite signage that it should be closed. I actually never slept the entire night. Windows a level up adjacent to the courtyard area doors were open and there was constant shouting and noise until 3.00am. Accepting the hotel would have little control over this i did my best to ignore it. The main issue with this room is that every shower , toilet flush and tap running can be heard loudly in the room. i can only assume the waste pipe is either in the room boxed in or in close proximity. Big negative is that all night the showers and toilet flushes could be heard in the room combined with the party outside my window meant my stay was awful. Doors band all night long and the constant sound of water was consistent. I wouldn’t stay here again as my sleep quality was appalling. The ceilings were marked with water damage and the lack of on site staff...
Read moreVery decent hotel at a very reasonable price for Central London. ||I checked in on Christmas Eve at the reception area in their hotel just around the corner and the staff were friendly and helpful.||The room was a decent size, nicely appointed with all the facilities you'd commonly expect, including an iron, an ironing board, a hairdryer, towels and tea/coffee/milk plus a kettle and a TV.||Breakfast is served at the 'Pimlico Pantry ' which is the cafe in their main hotel, just a 2 minute walk away. Staff there were friendly, welcoming and professional.||There was a good selection of different breads for toasting, plus other items such as cereal, all with a selection of butters/jams/marmalades and other spreads. The waiting staff come round to offer you a choice of hot breakfasts from their menu and drinks. ||I had THE FULL GEORGIAN breakfast which is their equivalent of a FULL ENGLISH and it was decent enough but only 1 sausage, 1 rasher of bacon and 1 hash brown which was a trifle disappointing but all cooked well and tasting delicious. ||I did have 1 tiny problem with power while I was there but the staff resolved it within a few minutes and additionally compensated me for the inconvenience. ||I definitely recommend Bower House and given the friendly and helpful attitude of the staff, I'm sure their other hotels are...

Bower house is very close to Victoria coach station and a great base to start from. The street is beautiful with gorgeous little restaurants and cafes around. It felt a bit on the pricier side but as it was my first time in London that might just be my perception. We stayed in room 3 on the first floor which was up one and a half flights of stairs. The room was smaller than I expected but the very high ceilings does give a feeling of more space. The en-suite bathroom was very snug and was not comfortable to navigate given the space in the shower and the bathroom in general. There are obvious signs of wear and tear on the paintwork, the windows , the bathroom cladding etc but given that we only paid £215 for 3 nights we decided to overlook those bits. There was a small wall mounted TV a hairdryer (which was hot and noisy but lacked a bit of power) there was also tea and coffee station and an iron (no ironing board). We were given towels which were stunning and we were told to ring if we wanted any other extra towels /loo rolls etc. the bed was very comfortable and very clean. there isn’t anyone on site but if needed you can contact the Georgian house hotel which the number was provided. All in all we would stay here again and really...
