I'll open the review by saying that the staff/owners are very friendly and accommodating, and helped our family get a great spot within the park. This is an RV park - so spots are packed fairly tight, though some trees and bushes around and inside the park provided some relief from feeling like everyone is being parked. Be aware that this park is located directly behind the railroad station, which is between two roadway grade crossings (horn use) Alaska Railroad does run freight trains during the night a few times a week, so there is a brief high noise level. Overall, the visit was good and I would pleased with how accommodating the owners were.

Staff were super friendly and helpful, especially since we arrived without a reservation and the park was pretty much full. They squeezed us into a “dry” site beside the office building for a couple nights, with access to power (and water if your hose is long enough). Sites were well maintained and there is a dump & potable water station for guests to use. It’s right next to the train tracks, which might bother some but I liked being able to see (and hear) the trains coming and going.

One of the only spots with electric and water hookups! No individual fire pits. The shower has hot water & great water pressure but you do have to pay $2 per 4 minutes. Worth it! There’s also laundry. The scenery is not great which is why I have only 4 stars - you’re right on the road and the train tracks with little space between plots. Overall loved the town though!

We recently stayed 4 nites at the camper park and loved every minute of it. The couple who were running the park for the summer were delightful. She is Irish and he is English and they were so very helpful, informing us of special things to see and do. they also helped us in getting a flight up on the glacier. the park itself is kept very neat and the bathrooms and laundry areas were clean and handy. We really enjoyed our time in Alaska and your campground was exceptional. We also enjoyed the town of Talkeetna. It is only a short walk to the shops from the camper park. Each business was cute and the employees were so friendly. thank you to everyone in Talkeetna for making our 4 days a high-light...

We had a decent experience in our 2-night stay at Talkeetna Camper Park this August. The place is fairly clean, no puddles, and the bathrooms and showers were decent and included in the price. Actually, showers required quarters but a change machine was available. Most sites do not have a sewer hookup but they have a dump station onsite that is also included in the price. I would just caution users to wear flip flops or something when going to shower since they are on ground level & right off the outdoors so dirt gets tracked in easily. We also had to use blocks to keep our RV level and they really do squeeze as many RVs as they can into the...
