Excellent little museum that delves extensively into the history and associated artifacts of Talkeetna mainly focusing on its period of emergence. Two separate particularly interesting movies cover the creation of the Alaskan railroad and also the details of ascending of Denali (aka McKinley) mountain. For those seriously interested in an ascent of Denali the Walter Harper Talkeetna Ranger Station is a mandatory stop but for those in getting some sense of the ascent challenges then this museum is highly recommended.
