A bit overpriced and overrated in my opinion. The lady in the front desk appears to be judgemental. She seems to be offering super warm service to some but not so much to others. She was super chatty and providing additional helpful tips to some, but has been lukewarm, a bit cold to others. Body language, facial expressions, and the brief stare speak a ton. The store is probably receiving guests from all over the world, and enjoying the brand equity of Alaska and Talkeetna, but needs to work on its "displayed" equity and inclusion to all. We picked up a pottery coffee mug, and Debra got a copper bracelet that was knitted with glass beads. It was really neat. They highlight many local artists that create everything from jewelry, dishware, paintings, sculptures, pottery, clothing, glassware, woodwork, etc... They do have some of the typical souvenirs such as t-shirts and magnets, but it's primarily artwork.
