I stayed here based on price, I did not do my research and I did not pay attention to other people's reviews which I wish I would have this place was absolutely disgusting. I spent an hour sanitizing and cleaning the room prior to feeling comfortable going to bed. I spent another hour cleaning the shower and bathroom before I felt comfortable taking a shower. Not sure what's wrong with their water or water pressure but the water coming out of the shower was not strong whereas the water coming out of the sink was much more powerful. The water made my hair very disgusting and my skin very itchy so be careful if you stay at this location. I did mention to the front desk that I was worried about the people in the room next to me and the response I got the first morning when I called was why didn't you call the night before my response was because there's no phone in this room well you have to call from your your personal phone and I said sir it 2:00 in the morning I'm not looking for my phone and looking for your phone. So as he requested I called back when it started up again at 10:00 that morning and when I started up again at 2:00 in the morning and the following night when it started up again at 10:00pm. I did hear that the desk man come at 2:00 Saturday and 10:00p Sunday to talk with them. When I checked out it 9:00a Monday I was told that there was a young child in the room left by themselves and that the father was in the lobby when I called Sun at 10p and the mother was across the street. I'm not quite sure why you're leaving a child alone in a hotel room but that's where the story I received. The desk person said we could have moved you to a different room but you said no. I said no because I had already spent time cleaning the room and wasn't going through that again.
As you can see from my photos they are not taking care of this property. The cleanliness is definitely not up to my standards. I will never be staying at this location again hopefully I can stop someone else from experiencing what I did this weekend. I had to open the toilet to flush it since there wasn't enough water in there to flush. I also killed two spiders while I was there. The wifi never...
Read moreThis hotel is disgusting! Initially we were excited to be going to the hotel so we could get started on our vacation. They had signs posted about you having 15 minutes to review the room or no refund would be given. This was the first red flag. It does not look nearly as nice as the pictures in reality. The room key wouldn't even open the door at first. This says that the locks are frequently changed. When we opened the door the room looked clean enough. But I checked the bedding, and found dirty linens first off. I went down further and checked the mattress looking for bed bugs, Only to find actual bloodstains on the mattress. My hands felt gross just by touching this bed but I included pictures below. I went upfront to let the guy know about these issues and ask for a different room, passing some of their housekeeping staff along the way. He told me that if we pulled back the linens in each room we would find something wrong with the mattress and blatantly lied about not having anyone for housekeeping right than. My son and I went back to our room, got our luggage, and went back upfront to ask for a refund, and noticed on our way out with our luggage that there were mold spores in the moisture on the window. I didn't get a picture of the window but if you have seen these before you know what they look like. The guy upfront denied the refund, telling me j had to go through expedia where I booked it. I contacted expedia, they advised me they would need to contact the hotel, ok. On 5 different occasions during the same call they tried to contact him. I even went and knocked on their door to let them know expedia wanted to talk to them. The guy stood behind the counter, just glaring at me. I included a picture of what the mold spores in the window looked like. It doesn't matter how cheap it is. This hotel needs to be closed due to health and...
Read moreSometimes, you really just get what you pay for... My husband & I had stayed at a different motel on Beach for around the same price & it was great, so my expectations were a little higher than they should have been... We stayed during the three day tropical storm in 08/2023. The room was pretty disgusting. The first thing we do is bleach the whole room, use disinfectant spray on the bed, & sanitize the room as a whole (clean light switches, door handles, floor, etc.)
But this place was mildew central. I can still smell it, despite a week having passed.
The "dog run" was just a massive pile of feces, & I firmly believe that if the establishment allotted poop bags, maybe ppl would actually pick up after their dogs.
The indoor pool looked terrifying.
Roaches & bugs ran rampant outside... In the room I only saw a couple & on the second day of rain, my husband opened the curtains & said,"well here's why there's a roach problem." ... There was a trash can directly outside our window that towered at least 3ft high, accompanied by debris scattered beside the trash can.
We are newly homeless, so we often snag the cheapest room when we have the funds, if Beachside happens to be that, we will most likely be staying here again.
As a rule to everyone who stays in motels, hotels, resorts-- anywhere that isn't "home;" bring your own cleaning tools. We always ALWAYS have Clorox powder bleach, Marvicide spray (life changing cleaner), Tide or Febreeze fabric disinfectant, a small bottle of dish soap, a couple rags & a scrub brush or sponge (dustpan/brush, metal bristled brush, & paper towels are also a good addition) on us AT ALL TIMES. You just never know what life will throw at you, or in what condition your sleeping...
