We have stayed here many times. Good location, 1 mile from Disneyland (we walk to and from every visit). Overall nice rooms and clean but still a little dirty when we wiped down the counters and table in the kitchen, coffee table and side table in the living room, and the floors in the kitchen and living room areas. Even before COVID, we bring our own cleaning wipes on trips to wipe things down. The bathroom was the cleanest.
They are in the process of renovating all the rooms and we had a renovated room with new furniture, paint, tvs and flooring. They warned us about possible construction noise, but wasn't bothersome at all. Our teenage son said the sleeper couch was really comfortable. Having a full kitchen is so helpful for families who don't want to dine out with each meal and save money.
Property looks really nice and landscaping had been updated. Free washers and dryers in the laundry room :) Pool and hot tub are always nice, but this February visit the weather was cooler. The pool was too cold to swim and the hot tub was popular for most folks. There was one day that was in the upper 70's/low 80's and people enjoyed the pool that day :)
Staff were really great with everything, especially about bringing us new towels (they never seemed to get dry and stayed somewhat damp) and new bedding when we thought we were going home a day early and stripped the beds, only to find out our flight got cancelled and we would need to stay another night.
Don't forget to visit Joe's Italian Ice just down the street! Parking is very limited, but walking a few minutes there and back is no problem. Target is very close if you need or forgot anything for your trip.
Only bad points:
We made toast, pizza, and bagels and the fire alarm would go off, especially when using the toaster. Nothing would get burned and it went off anyway. The alarm in this room was too sensitive. We have not had a problem like this in the past here.
Since there is no carpet or curtains in the living room to help absorb noise in the updated rooms, it is really loud, even if you are talking quietly or trying to not make too much noise. You can hear the neighbors almost word for word and hear them walking around in the rooms next to you. We had a 2nd floor room to avoid the noise of people walking around upstairs. We have not had a noise problem like this in the past here. Maybe a nice rug in the living room and under the dining room table would help with noise absorption.
The key cards needed to be replaced 3 times, as they would stop working for no reason. It was annoying having to go to the office to get new key cards after not being able to get past the gate or made it back to our room due to the gate being open or someone held the locked doors open for us, only for the cards to not work again. The staff said the rain storm caused it the first time. The second time they said they won't work if stored next to a phone (they weren't). Third time staff told my husband they are going to transition to armbands and no more key cards. Key card issues have not been a problem in the past here.
Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed ourselves and will still come back to this location for...
Read moreWe stayed at another Worldmark location in Anaheim it was much more pleasant as far as it was modern, location was good, and we didn’t have roaches. This is just going too far when you pay faithfully for a timeshare and you wanna enjoy a trip with the family. No one wants roaches. I had saw a flying cockroach outside with my mom and I told her hey look at that big flying cockroach! 😳 Tonight I was coming out of the restroom, and a full grown roach was in the bathroom, now I can’t sleep. You can take that stuff home with you, God forbid! I live in a brand new apartment so I can’t bring that kind of stuff home. Nor can any of my family bring that in their homes, with children and pets, it’s just gross! I called the front desk, and yes they’re going to spray tomorrow but I’ll just say this, stay at your own risk. The guy at the desk says they’re not in any other rooms, they only are outside so if a door is open they’ll come in. 😆 However, that is not true because we saw babies as well. Which means they had time to reproduce in that place. It wasn’t an out of the blue issue! I will not be repeating this mistake. I’m disappointed and trying not to take it personal, that you would want a family to celebrate their Christmas in an infested timeshare. Worldmark can do better than that. You know the property, so constant upkeep should be done. Isn’t that part of maintenance fees? They sprayed, and still it didn’t get better. Roaches mostly in the bathrooms, but started to see them in the living room as well. I left my comforter there because I didn’t want to risk bringing those things home. I think what gets me the most is in no way did they check on us to see if the problem was resolved? See if we wanted to move to another place? Nothing as timeshare owners you would think we would be treated better. I wish I had more photos but it became overwhelming. All I can say is I will never spend another Christmas with roaches! I can go to a cheap motel for that and even some of those may be more clean. I will say the location is the only thing that is excellent. The landscaping also was very well cared for, and the guest services when you go in directly were very kind. On the phone not so much. Not all negative, but enter at your own risk? Worldmark Anaheim is much better. Thanks so much for...
Read moreThis is definitely not a Worldmark resort. You do not get the Worldmark feeling when staying here and I see why Worldmark puts the disclaimer immediately. The units are nice but inconsistent. Master Bedroom was nice sized but had very small television sitting on top of dresser. Tv in second room was mounted and sized for room. The staff was not very helpful and most seemed as if they did not understand or speak English when you spoke to them. I guess going to the pool depend on who is attending it because I had two different experiences during my stay. However, the worse part is they employ theives! I left my wallet in the unit and it was taken. (Yes, my mistake but this is supposedly a Worldmark. Higher standards and I had Not been anywhere else. Please read rest of story before judging) I checked out at 10AM. It was early and primarily staff outside cleaning the grounds. My walk to the car was short and direct. I was in an end unit near the gate. Even if the wallet dropped outside somehow in my walk, it would have been staff who saw it. They had not rechecked or cleaned out the room by the time I called them after I had made it to Escondido and realized i left it. Kaya told me they found other little things I had left but no wallet. I drove back and by 4pm they were still cleaning the room. (I have a picture of the cart and open room being cleaned) Of course I couldn't look for myself. They asked me for ID to pick up the things they did have. Eventually, Jennifer helped me by verifying my information and giving me the items but unfortunately I never did get my wallet. And sadly I can admit this isn't the first time I've left my purse/wallet someplace, I tend to be forgetful. However, I also suffer from clinicl OCD so I do know where I leave things. My routine was interrupted this morning and everything was in place except the wallet according to their staff. I have not lost an item in over 10 years. I've never had a problem like this at an actual Worldmark Resort and staff was always much...
