Ok so we were there in Anaheim only for a couple of days for a concert at the Honda Center. I really wanted some Mexican food. Mi Casa Mexicana was the closest to our hotel. That was just an easy excuse. I am so glad we decided to give it a try. This was one of the best and most flavorful Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at. We live in the southwest and eat a lot of Mexican food. If you really want a good Mexican meal while in the Anaheim area this place is IT! We were greeted and seated immediately. Mind you it is a small location but the food and service made you feel like you were in a very large restaurant. People were coming and going the entire time we were there. A good sign of regular loyal customers. The waiter brought us chips and salsa and our drinks immediately. My wife ordered the small street tacos combo that included 3 tacos and bean and rice. She loved it. She said the food was so fresh and the Pico de Gallo was delicious. I ordered the COMBO 4 (MI CASA COMBO) 3 hard tacos and three taquitos stuffed with meat beef or chicken, steak charbroiles fajitas, pico de Gallo, sour cream, lettuce and guacamole. Served with rice and beans. A LOT OF FOOD!!!!!!!!! Let me just say the flavor was to die for. Everything on the plate was delicious. I had the beef in everything. It was perfectly cooked and hot at the table. We left with a box of leftovers that made a second meal for both of us later. If I were to recommend any Mexican restaurant in Anaheim this would be it. Thank you Mi Casa Mexicana. I now have to start a search for a comparible restaurant in the Phoenix area:-)

Was looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant and this came up with the most reviews through Google. Decided to give it a try. Ordered the mojarra (fried fish) it was surprisingly not bad and pretty tasty. Nice size fish for under $20 and it came with a small side of rice, beans and a salad. Can't believe the beans were the star of the whole dish lol The aguas Frescas are not real aguas Frescas but some sort of bottled juice or powder mix drinks. Skip it all together and get the jarrito instead. They do serve beer, all glass bottles, most are the same price. Service was mediocre. They did their job as to take our order and bring us our food. No follow up to check if everything came out alright and didn't return once after dropping our plates. We waited a few minutes after finishing our meal, then went up to the counter to pay. If you're staying near by, highly suggest you order out or for delivery. Restaurant had a very strange smell to it, like an old Indian hotel that never had their HVAC system fixed. If we had other near by sit-down places opened later than 830 on a Sunday, we would have definitely left. The bathrooms had a foul odor, you could smell it from your seat every time someone opened it. It was like dank sewer. Atmosphere is pretty dead, no real Atmosphere if thats what youre going for. No TVs, no music, just the conversation of others.

Parking: They’re located in a small plaza, but parking is easy to find. Free parking lot. Ambiance/Environment: Walking in, you can either place an order to-go at the register or let the worker know you’d rather dine. My partner and I decided to dine in tonight. The worker gave us menus and told us we can choose any table. It’s a medium sized restaurant. Good for big groups. Service: Our first server did not understand English when we asked him a couple questions about the menu, so he grabbed another server to assist us. The second server was able to answer our questions and gave us a couple recommendations. After ordering, we waited approximately 15 min for our orders. Food: 1) Chicken Flautas - I ordered this. It was served with beans, rice, sour cream, and guacamole. The chicken flautas were big! The chicken was cooked well, and outer layer was crunchy. I really enjoyed this dish. 2) Carne Asada - My partner ordered this. It was also served with beans, rice, and sour cream; no guacamole but it came with 3 tortillas. The carne asada was flavorful and cooked well. My partner had fun making his own tacos. 3) Chips & salsa - Complimentary appetizer. The salsa was spicy, but a bit salty. Pricing: Prices were $$$. Can’t blame them, especially in this inflation. We loved our dishes and left our bellies more than fulfilled. We’ll be back for more!

We found this place a few years when we stayed at a nearby hotel and were so happy as it was inexpensive and really good!! We went a few nights ago on the first night of our vacation and couldn't have been more disappointed. 1st - there wasn't any one else there except for what appeared to be the owners family - not a good sign. 2nd - the server wasn't overly friendly and completely unenthusiastic. 3rd - We should have known by the tasteless salsa and chips that this wasn't going to end well. The meals we ordered (which we've had many times before and what brought us back), we're AWFUL!! I ordered a taco salad veggie style. I had been craving this salad because it was so fresh and full of veggies and beans.... What a disappointment! They threw in half cooked potato chunks - which were cold, huge pieces of raw, unappetizing carrots, some lettuce and hardly any refried beans or cheese! My husband ordered a veggie burrito (how hard is that to screw up?), well they did! Again - threw in raw carrots and potatoes. My son got a quesidilla that was sloppy and unappealing with a little side of unseasoned rice and beans. Not once did our waitress ask how our food was or if we needed refills. Overall the experience left us disgusted and wasted our time and money. We would've been fed better by going to the gas station next door. We're pretty convinced it is under new ownership -- I'll be surprised if it's still around on our next trip to Disneyland.

Here's the real kicker:

  • 💯 sure this meal caused my son to have diarrhea all day the next day at Disneyland -- that's what upsets...

MEDIUM/HIGH Prices, Needs Better Management🤔:

I have always seen this place busy before, and this time when I went in there, at 4:13 p.m. on a Sunday, it was dead.. But I only seen this place was he because I drive by here for work, but never eaten there.. So I went in to try some food but I wanted something healthy, and at most Mexican places you can get some kind of soup.. So I wanted one of the soups and they all come with the same vegetables and that includes corn, so like Caldo de Res comes with beef zucchini carrots onions and potato and corn.. But they didn't have the corn and honestly corn is a big part of Caldo de Res so I told her I was good.. For a 4in container of soup it was going to be 7 to $9.. And even if you just want three street tacos and rice and beans, it's $8.... Are you kidding me?!?! Lmao $8 for a little bit of rice and beans and meat and small corn tortillas! Wow... And THAT DOESN'T EVEN INCLUDE A DRINK LOL.. something decent like a burrito is about 12 or $13! They try to Hype everything up by making sure rice and beans come with it but literally all that stuff is cheap except for the meat..

I'm sure it's good but way too overpriced and not having corn for their soup tells me that management is slacking.. as the manager, if I did not have corn in my restaurant that was supposed to go with soups, especially on Sunday, people love soups, I would go to the nearest grocery store and buy some corn myself! Wow, what a concept?! LOL... SIMPLE CONCEPTS. QUIT FOCUSING ON TRYING TO BE SO FANCY AND JUST HAVE GOOD SERVICE.

Big O.C. Aspiring to be,...
