Was in town for WonderCon 2023 and booked this gem months ahead. Our stay here was exactly what we needed. Something that didn't break the bank and just to lay our head undisturbed. Our room was on the 3rd floor in one of the corner coves and we had some families staying next door to us but we didn't hear any ruckus after 10pm. One thing you will hear if you aren't staying on ground level is the sound of footsteps when people are walking the walkways and its unavoidable. All rooms face the center parking lot and it's not indoor. The rooms have been newly renovated and everything worked fine without any complications. Don't expect a smart tv, at least, we didn't have one in our room nor did we need it. Our room came with every basic necessity, including a microwave and small fridge. Everything was thoroughly cleaned and housekeeping will not clean your room unless you request it, front desk will let you know that up front when you first check in. The location is a block away from the Anaheim Convention Center which is super convenient. There's a Denny's right outside the hotel, Roscoes is across the street. There's also a Pho spot a block away if you need your Pho fix. Target and 7 Leaves are a few blocks away. Parking does get crowded but to our surprise there were about 8 to 10 parking spots coned off in the parking lot that valet will allow you to park for free if the whole parking lot is already full. They give you a ticket that you take with you and you just leave the keys with front desk for the night, safe and secure. There's 1 elevator from what I can remember and alot of stairwells. Housekeepers are cleaning around the clock so if you do need anything they're usually not too far from your room. There's on-site security who walks around periodically. Housekeeping is constantly emptying every outside trash bin on every floor so the place is kept up will. Breakfast was included in our reservation, front desk will give you tickets for every person that is staying in your room, per day. Be sure to clarify how many people are staying with you when you first check-in so you can have enough tickets per person. Breakfast is plentiful and enough to go around and it does get packed. Please tip the wonderful ladies that are serving you, they work very hard and are constantly doing a great job of cleaning tables and making sure that the breakfast trays are stocked. There's a tip jar right next to where you drop off your breakfast admission ticket. To sum it up, we had a wonderful stay. No, it's not the Hyatt nor is it a Marriott, but it's comfortable, it's in close proximity to Anaheim Convention Center and Disneyland. Plenty of spots to eat and enough stores nearby to buy necessities. 5 star stay....
Read more3/14/2016- 3/17/2016 When I first checked into the motel, there was a 50$ deposit per room, which they refund you when you check out of the room. If nothing is damaged. I didn't expect that because I never had to pay a deposit before on any hotel/motel, but it's understandable. It was just unexpected. It's a 5-10 min walk to the Disneyland Toy Story bus shuttle, so don't waste your money on a parking ticket because its literally down the street from the hotel. The bus shuttle will take you to Disneyland.
DON'T LOOK FORWARD TO THE BREAKFAST. They're breakfast was a huge disappointment. All they had was waffles, juice, muffins ( which felt like old dried muffins) and cereal. They have a waffle attendant who makes your waffle, I had to wait 30 mins just for 2 waffles because she kept forgetting mine. It's from 6AM-10AM. They have a security guard throughout the night, so that's a plus. I felt safe. It's also close to Dennys, Shell gas station, AMPM gas station, Etc. so that's a plus as well. They have a pool and a jacuzzi hot tub. The jacuzzi hot tub is broken and I read a review a while back saying that the jacuzzi hot tub was broken, so I'm assuming they don't plan to fix it anytime soon. The pool was clean and convient when it was hot.
My hotel room was on the second floor which the windows were in the back of the room, I didn't like it. My room had a weird smell to it when I first walked in. The beds were cleanly made, bathroom was well organized. They have a 32 inch screen TV unlike the one you see on Google pics. They do have a variety of TV channels. The walls had some markings on it, the tiles in the shower had a couple of hair on it. I wouldn't use their towels that they provide because I grabbed one to place on the floor and there was some yellow stains. Thank god I brought my own towel.
My experience in this hotel wasn't too bad. If you don't want to spend a whole lot on your hotel then this place is for you. It's not bad. I'm not a clean freak nor have OCD, so it didn't bother me as much because I was out most of the time going to Disneyland. But if you'd prefer a clean hotel then this isn't for you.
*ALSO, there were no bugs. I didn't see or experience...
Read moreWhen we went to check in, their system was not updated to accept chips on credit/debit cards and the magnetic strip wasn't working. So they wanted me to pay another way and I didn't have another way to pay. This through me into a panic. After several minutes, she finally got my card accepted. We asked about the jacuzzi and they informed us that it was broken. We were disappointed as we were planning on going into the jacuzzi later. The card to enter the room was flimsy and would not work for me. I tried it several times and never got it to work for me. Fortunately, my boyfriend was able to work it but it was not easily accessible. I requested a mini refrigerator and a microwave in our room but there was no microwave. I had to call down to the front desk to request a microwave and they said their maintenance worker wasn't available right now but would bring it up as soon as possible. It took 15 minutes to deliver the microwave which wasn't good for us because we had to be at a concert and were pressed for time. The room was small and not very clean. There was mold on the carpet next to the refrigerator. When I went to use the bathroom sink, later that night, I was waiting for hot water and the drain clogged up making it difficult to brush my teeth and wash my face. The water finally went down by morning but the sink was filthy with remnants from using it. The walls were super thin and there were people coming and going throughout the night. Our neighbor had a really loud squeaky door that they continually went in and out of through the entire night and morning. I don't know what the heck they were doing to be having to enter and exit their room continuously. I don't think they slept. I know I barely got any sleep and felt miserable the next day. Maintenance should take care of that obnoxious door! My boyfriend went down to the continental breakfast and said it was awful. There was hardly any food and the waffles were soggy. My daughter and I went without breakfast. I had a good time at dinner and the concert but my overnight vacation was spoiled by this horrible hotel. I will never stay at any Travelodge again and don't recommend...
