The three stars are mainly for the staff and how kind and welcoming they were to us when we arrived.
LOCATION: We were here for a disneyland trip. It was affordable through our USAA bank for the 2 room- 4 bed room. Truly, it is not far from the toy story lot. From exiting the building to the street, it's about a 2-3 minute walk and it was not bad either. There is a lot of food in the area at a driveable distance too (we went to red robin about ~1-2 miles away for dinner). There's a Target and many many other stores around the hotel. So if you want to save gas and not drive around a lot, this hotel is a great location. We barely drove once we arrived at the hotel and stayed on our feet since Disneyland was our main attraction anyway. We also paid for parking for our van here too (about 19 bucks a day) which I was ehh about, but it was safe the way this place is structured.
BREAKFAST: We loved the breakfast. For a family of 7, we ended up going to the breakfast every morning which was always hot, always delicious, and enough to get us through lunch time once we got to Disneyland. They had a lot of different options each day and the area was very clean. The staff was very nice and incredible. The different options for every type of picky person were there; from oatmeal, eggs, yogurt, bacon/sausage, home made waffles, fruit choices, and different drinks. This came with our room reservation and this was helpful in saving money and going to Disneyland. It opened promptly at 0630 every day and even when we were running a little later, staff ensured there was food hot and ready and refilled every time for the morning rush.
ROOM: Now, this is where I saved the worst for last. I was not impressed with the room. We booked the two room 4 bed hotel. It was very small for the 6-7 of us (one was a 2 year old who slept with us). We had 1 preteen, 1 teen, and 2 9 year old boys and the quarters were very small for us. We didn't have a lot of space to put our bags once the sofa sleeper was out. The comforters were very thin and for November, it was cold. The thermostat in our room kept autoresetting to a colder temp that we set up, too. I was surprised they didn't have the thick comforters that I have experienced at each BW I have been to. The restroom was small as well and for a bunch of us, waiting each to take a turn was a bit frustrating. We were on the second floor and I could feel the floor in our room was super uneven. We felt holes in the floor when we walked and it was definately uncomfortable. We also squished a cockroach the first day coming into the room by our bed (thank goodness it was only one). I think they are going through renovations but I definately would not stay here due to the size of the rooms, the comforters, and the floors being uneven. For a BW, I was surprised with the quality of the rooms.
Overall, if you want a quick, cheap, easy place to go to , this is it. But if you have a large family, either book 2 rooms next to each other or more. If you are budget friendly like us, the price of 2 rooms just wasn't a option for us as we wanted to spend that extra money...
Read moreOur Girl Scout troop enjoyed a 4 night stay at this hotel in June 2025. The location was perfect for Disneyland/California Adventure and Knotts Berry Farm and a great price for what you get.||The staff at the hotel were exceptional, all were super friendly and helpful. I asked a lot of questions and Alex, the front desk clerk, answered them all with a smile and great attitude. He even spent extra time helping me look at bus routes to/from Knotts (we ended up taking a Lyft). Another staff person who always had a smile and great attitude was Ali, the parking lot attendant. We got a Lyft ride to Knotts one day and I wasn't sure if the driver would be safe. Without my even asking him to, he wrote down the name and license plate number as a precaution, in case we didn't return. ||The breakfast was surprisingly good for this price point and Sergio, the person managing that area was so nice and kept everything stocked and clean. Each morning we had scrambled eggs and either bacon or sausage along with a variety of cereals, yogurt, fruit, bread and English muffins, oatmeal, muffins, and packaged Danish rolls. They also switched between pancakes (made for you) and Belgian waffles (self-made in a waffle iron) each day. For drinks they had juice, milk and coffee each day. ||The accommodations were what I expected at this price point. I've stayed at more expensive hotels in the area and they were a little nicer, but I paid more. This was a decent room, clean and fit our groups needs. We went with four girls, ages 11-14 and two adults and stayed in the Family Suite. It was a tad bit smaller than I was expecting based on the pictures, but we didn't spend much time in it, so it was good. The second bathroom was a huge plus. The only complaint was that the pull out sofa bed mattress was completely unacceptable. It was so old that the really wasn't any padding left. We ended up just using the couch part, which was pretty comfortable, but short because it was just a love seat. I did report this "issue" to Alex when we left and he was sympathetic and wrote down the information to pass it along so the bed mattress could potentially be replaced. ||Tip: You can walk a block up to the Toy Story parking lot and ride that shuttle to Disneyland/California Adventure. You go through security when you get on, so you don't have to at the park and you save...
Read moreWe stayed at Best Western Raffles for 6 nights this past week and we loved it. We stayed in a family suite with two queen beds, a bunk bed, and pull out sofa which slept 6 of us and then a smaller room for one additional night because we extended our stay. The family room was spacious and had two bathrooms which was fabulous. The towels were changed daily and the room was cleaned every 3 days or something which was fine considering we didn’t spend a great deal of time in the room anyway. The pool was warm and there is shaded seating around the pool if needed too. The hotel is next to the Toy Story Parking lot and the parking lot shuttle is free. After a day of Disney, getting that shuttle back near the hotel which is 5 mins away is a blessing!! You can walk if you want but seriously, get the free shuttle! The breakfast in the morning is great. Sergio and Yolanda were marvelous each day, always checking to see if you need anything or how your breakfast can be better. They’re a real credit to the wonderful experience this hotel provides. They write on the board what items will be available over the next few days and it’s nice to see the variety they have. On the days they have waffles, there’s generally two waffle makers so you won’t have to wait long for them to be made. There’s plenty of seating inside but alternatively there outdoor seating too if you want some space and air. We didn’t use the laundry as it was being fixed up so I can’t comment there but there is a launderette around the corner (5 mins walk, 10 if you forget your wallet and have to go back to get it) which has lots of machines. The rooms are quiet I’d say, we were on the ground floor and didn’t have any problems with noise above us. The staff at reception were great, just super helpful and a delight to have assist us. Alex on reception was great, just a pleasure to have help us, and unfortunately I cannot recall the names of the wonderful ladies at reception who went out of their way to accommodate us, cheers, we really appreciated your help! The rooms key cards can sometimes not work but the staff in reception will get you new ones if you ask. Parking is $20 a day and there’s space if you get there early enough, we never had a problem at all. Overall, a great family hotel, modern rooms, plenty of space, great amenities, close to the Disney parks, and...
