Just stayed at the DoubleTree near Disney for only $24 a night using points—what a deal! 🤑 Parking was $30, pretty standard for the area. The room? Huge and spotless! 💯 We’re less than a mile from Disney, with Denny's and Ruth’s Chris right next door for some food options. Honestly, the perfect spot for convenience and comfort. 10/10 would definitely stay again! #TravelHacks #DisneyTrip #DoubleTree #BudgetTravel

The rooms are older. You’ll see worn out carpet in the corners, dents in the wall, and dirt on the wall trim. There was no soap in the dispenser in the bathroom, which we only found out in the middle of a shower. The bed was too soft and difficult to sleep on without support. There was only one firmness pillow (squishy) on the bed. We had a two bed suite with a fold out couch in the living room. We thought we had plenty of towels, but when we took the towels off the shelf, three of them had make up spots on them or perhaps something else was on one of them since one was brown spots. The walls are paper thin. I was not woken up by my alarm, I was woken up by the neighbors. It was so loud that I actually thought it was my companion who was sleeping on the fold out couch in the living room up and doing things. I got up to say hey quiet down in here! only to see him asleep and realizing that the noise that sounded like it was in the same hotel room with me was actually in a neighboring hotel room. The best thing the hotel had going for it was it was just a few blocks away from Disneyland, which was our reason for staying there. You could Uber to and from Disneyland for a quite reasonable price, even if the park closes at midnight the Ubers are lined up to take you back to your hotels. I would have said that I would stay there again except the disgusting towels made me realize that the sheets were probably dirtier than I realized and unclean, thinking about the fact that I slept on them is creeping me out. They tell you that parking comes with the room, and that you can go in and out with your hotel door key. What they don’t tell you is that before you leave you need to get a ticket to get out of the parking lot or you will be locked in, or charged. Many people were getting stuck because they didn’t realize that they could not just drive out an automatic gate. We had to go back inside the lobby and ask for a ticket. This was after I called down to the front desk and said have we completed our checkout properly online and they said yes. I said is there anything else that I need to do and they said no. I asked if they had any trolleys to take down my luggage and they said they were all in use, I’d actually only seen one trolley at the hotel so maybe that one was being used. They told me I could have an extended check out while waiting for the trolley, but we just piled all our stuff (cooler, laptop bag, garment bag etc) on the rolling suitcases and took our stuff out like that. At that time during that phone call he should have told me to come down to the desk to get an exit ticket for parking, but he didn’t. This must be an issue that happens every single day. You would think they would have some sort of process to make sure that people don’t get locked inside….. unless they’re purposely doing that to make people so uncomfortable at the gate that they’re paying a full days payment just to get out. A lot of the hotels in this area look rundown so I’m not sure if that’s just the aesthetic that the Disneyland area has going for it but next time I won’t be booking a room here.

Currently, this place is a dump and does not live up to Double Tree standards like you would otherwise see at other locations. We stayed here for a business conference, not by choice. Let's start with some background on this location. The last renovation was in 2014 and nothing has been done since. Usually renovations for a hotel like this would occur every 7 years. This location was bought by AWH Partners right at about 4 years ago. (Hotels are not owned by the brand name on it, that's just a brand and operate like a franchise and a franchise fee is paid back to the brand name on the hotel) So, it was bought right about the time the renovation was due but being a business you could agree right after a purchase like that you'll want push that off. Bedsides, this place can be a dump and the brand will still sell it in this busy location next to Disney and the parking lot for Disney but come on already, just get it done. Again this hotel is now in desperate need for the renovation update. It looks nice on the surface but the closer you look the worse it gets. For starters the speakers out at the main entry are blown and sound like the factory speakers of an old pickup when any bass hits. Then you'll start to notice the furniture is on its last legs, stained, worn, corners banged up and chipped. I question if the bathtubs were even replaced in 2014 or they just reglazed them, but don't look up from there, just ignore the mold on the ceiling. Hopefully after you sleep you didn't have any bites. Note, we did not have bed bugs in our room but recent past reviews said they did, please inspect you room before you unpack. The wall paper is curling up from the seams and corners. There is something on the curtain, is it a blood stain, I don't know, how did that stain even get there? Bottom line AWH needs to update this property before it loses the Hilton brand like they lost their Embassy Suites brand at their El Paso location. I would not stay here again until they do an update. We did stay at The Westin in Anaheim just prior to this for a few day for personal vacation. That's a close enough walk to Disney and I would definitely stay there again. Also avoid The Anaheim hotel (motel), it's really close to Disney but it's a dump too, there is a reason they don't have a brand name. We did stay there once....

I arrived to the hotel at approximately 3:30pm . Check in is at 4. I had a question for Hilton Honors so I called , while on the phone with Hilton Honors I asked if they were excepting early check in due to us arriving a bit early. I was assured that early check is was welcome this particular day and that a room was available for my son and I. So I proceed . (I’ve stayed at the double tree many times so I am familiar with the standard) While I was in line the Latina with the red hair passed me off to her coworker. NEXT ! I get over to her male coworker. While I was stating my name , I was cut off mid sentence, May I have your ID ? I passed him my ID. While he is looking up my reservation he stated “ I’m checking to see if we have any rooms available, you might need to wait in your car until 4pm if there are no rooms available. NOT IN MY CAR !!?? DISGUSTING! I never had to ask ! For my cookies ! I get a email receipt at 6am ! Something said check your account! There are two separate transactions on my account! I call at 9am. oh the manager is not in yet, may I know your issue. I state the issue, okay the manager will be in around 9:30. Ok . Cool I decided to wait until check out to speak with management. House keeping is knocking at 10am i say no thanks. I begin taking my bags down to my car at approximately 10:15 . I get back upstairs housekeeping is coming out of my room !! If you open the door my bags were at the door ! Clearly the room was still being occupied. But she went all the way in ! I guess to look for me ???? Weird ! I was charged $5 for water, when I am supposed to receive it for free due to my membership! I never even drank the water! Back to the money on my card ! They had no excuse for the extra transaction they claimed it was a pre authorization and an audit mistake! Okayy? I NEVER spoke to the manager, the manager was in an imaginary meeting at check out time. I was offered a card to connect with the manager by email about my issue. Why is the manager on-site ?? They were extremely passive about everything. I am disgusted with the service I received from this OUTDATED hotel ! When you are serving humanity! Check your moral compass! Have dignity, respect and consideration for others ! NEVER be racist or bias ! For you could have been on the other end! I am extremely disgusted by your childish behavior and your poor service! Do not ever treat my son and I less than GREAT! Thank you and carry on with your poor character. You receive meaning and statues from your job !...

I hate this hotel. I literally hate this hotel. I am a Diamond Elite member of Hilton Hotels and have spent 51 nights in a Hilton property this year. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Upon arriving my daughter and I thought oh wow this looks like a great hotel it’s beautiful it looks very nice and then we met the first staff person. As Diamond Elite members we are due certain upgrades because we spend so much money with Hilton. When I brought it up to the woman at the front desk she rolled her eyes at me and told me there was nothing she could do, there were no upgrades, she had nothing to offer me, nothing. When you have a customer that spends so much money with your business you do what it takes to make them feel special and like you appreciate their business. She had a very poor attitude and was incredibly rude and dismissive. We’re here for a volleyball tournament that runs late every night. So the second night we came in and it’s late and we need some personal hygiene items. Every hotel I’ve ever stayed in in my entire life keeps the most basic personal hygiene items available for purchase for their customers. I asked the lady at the front desk and she said nope we don’t have anything. Nothing, I asked, you guys don’t keep toothbrushes or tampons or a frozen pizza? Every Hilton I’ve ever stayed at has a little store you can go into at any time of the day or night and get basic necessities. Oh no no, they have a store but it looks like a junky, Dollar General and is only open whenever the employee that runs it feels like they want it to be open. They say they have set hours, but they don’t, it’s closed more often than not and always closed during the hours you might have an emergency. Last, tonight, our 3rd night, we came in from the tournament tired and hungry and I went into the bar/restaurant to grab something to take to our room. The bar tender says, “No, I can’t get you anything because I decided to close early.” I responded, “It’s not 10 o’clock yet.” He said, yeah, I just decided to close early. No apology, no offering any compromise, nothing. The “gym” is sad, the pool is small and run down. They haven’t even tried to clean our room in 3 days. The only nice thing I can say is the beds are comfortable. But the spirit of hospitality is completely lost on these people. They have no business running a hotel. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Literally stay...
