Shock Wave is a great traditional rollercoaster at SFOT. This rides first drop is decent but there are 2 standout moments of this ride. The 1st one is the 2 back to back loops which pulled 6Gs and causes me to grey out some. You also get great hangtime and forces on the loops. The 2nd standout moment is the 2 drops after the 2 loops. Those 2 drops after the loops aren’t steep but they give some great ejector airtime. Then after that there aren’t really any stand out moments but there’s a little bunny hill giving a small pop of airtime. I give this ride a rating of 8.5 out of 10. I love the 2 loops and the 2 drops with scary ejector airtime but the rest of the ride is just okay. I wish the first drop gave great ejector airtime and I wish the ride was intense after the standout moments like there should have been another inversion or something like that. Overall It’s a really fun ride that you should ride when...
Read moreThis ride is so good! It is probably the best schwartzkopf looping coaster in the country. To start, this ride is very intense. The double loops are no joke! On the very hot day that I visited I blacked out on those loops, and didn't regain my vision until we started doing the first turn. It is absolutely insane and a great way to start off the ride. But it is just getting started! The drops after the next two turns on the ride have some crazy ejector airtime pops. It is something I have never really felt before on a coaster prior to this trip. The minimal restraints on this ride elevate it. You have to sit in the back row for the best ride experience so you can get that airtime. It is a janky old classic, but it is one of the best rides in the park. Highly...
Read moreThis one is a very old-school roller coaster! Two loops and nothing but a little lap bar and seat belt keeping you in. The loops are very strong so be warned! But it is very fun and there is lots of airtime on the curves and drops that follow. There is an ACE placard in the ride queue that dates the coaster to the late 70's, so to me it's cool that this thing is still operational and fun even if it's over 40 years old. The ride is a bit hidden in the back of the park closest to the highway, but nestled right behind the...
