DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!I wish I could this place 0 stars. I booked the room for 1 night my check out time was at noon. Around 10 am i heard a knock on the door and then the phone in the room rang. At 11:30 I called the front desk to see if I could extend my check out time due my sleep being interrupted whoever answered the phone stated she would extend my check out time to 12:30. Moments later there was a knock on the door again I heard the beeping sound I sat up to see what was happening and the light was on. Mind you I had the latch on the door to stop the door from completely opening I said “hello” a lady from housekeeping asked while standing in my room while I’m in bed if i was checking out I advised her I was checking out and I spoke to the first desk the house keeper stated no one told her apologized and left the room. As I’m still gathering my things to get out of the room I hear another knock on the door I open the door it’s 3 house keeping women asking me if I was checking out and I said yes I am finishing gathering my things I will be out in a moment. Soon after closing the door the room phone kept ringing. As I’m walking out there’s banging on the door and there’s some woman asking me if I am aware that my check out time was at 12:30p and that I booked my room under a discount and that the 30 minute extension was courtesy to me and that this room is reserved for someone else that’s trying to check in ( check in is at 3:00) I stated I’m leaving but she failed to inform the house keeping crew that and someone entered my room while I was in bed she repeatedly asked if I was leaving I was standing at the door with my bag attempting to walk out and I said you see me trying to walk out so clearly I am leaving the woman stated as I walked away that I would be charged and the employee who’s discount I am under will be penalized along with calling the property that the employee works with. I asked the woman what her name was and she stated it doesn’t concern, yet she’s standing in front of the door asking when I’m leaving (seriously ma’am get a grip) as I am walking to my car I hear my phone going on its bank alerts she then attempted to charge my card $230 and then $250 accusing me of smoking marijuana in the room (I do not smoke at all). As I am getting into my car there are about 3 cars in the parking lot. It’s really unfortunate that all of this occurred but I will NEVER BOOK OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! And I truly hope whoever that woman was receives some type of customer service training because IF that’s the manager Hampton Inn needs to manage to...
Read moreThis place was an absolute disgrace. I will post pictures of the mold in the bathtub and the black on the walls. It was disgusting and a health hazard. I assume they were trying to do some sort of renovation, but they did not make me aware of it and they charged me full price for a room that had black on the walls, mold in the bathroom, no closet doors, tiles pulled off of the bathroom around the tub and walls, which again showed mold. I went to the front desk several times and asked for manager, but conveniently there was never a manager around. The people working the front desk did not offer to switch my room, they did nothing to offer to help me. The front desk told me to write an email to the main headquarters and somebody would get back to me immediately. Well it’s been three days and nobody’s gotten back to me. If I had the money to go to a different hotel, I would’ve done it but unfortunately all my money was tied up in this Hampton Inn, so I was stuck there and had no other place to go. This place is a Health hazard and absolutely disgusting. And as much as I’ve sent emails and tried to speak to managers, I’m guessing no one will ever get back to me. This place is pathetic.
11/20- no one returned my calls or responded to my emails. I finally got a hold of Teddy. Apparently Teddy is the manager of the hotel and Teddy reports to no one. You cannot go any higher than Teddy, even though he’s not the owner of the Hampton Inn he reports to no one so you can’t go any higher than Teddy. Teddy told me the walls as you saw in my pictures that’s part of the paint and the way the walls are painted so people mistake it for dirt but that’s actually paint. You look at my pictures and be the judge . He told me there was nothing he could do to help me no refunds he could give me some points, but the points really wouldn’t be worth anything. He wasn’t willing to listen to me he kept telling me I was raising my voice which I wasn’t yelling I could, but I was annoyed. This place is pathetic. Their...
Read moreMy dad, brother and I stayed at this Hampton while in town for a cowboy's home game (dad is a diehard fan). While many other hotels were rated MUCH higher, we chose this one because of it's super close proximity to AT&T Stadium.
At first I thought the reviews were slightly overblown but I have to say, in our weekend experience, a lot of my sentiments echo what other reviewers have already pointed out.
First thing when we arrived at the hotel, I noticed the giant sign that said the pool and fitness center were "out of service" (something another reviewer mentioned has already been out of service and unaddressed for over a YEAR!)
My bro stayed in a separate room from my dad and I. His room had a useable shower, our shower did not have cold water so the water was just burning hot coming out the tap with no way to change the temperature! We told the front desk and the lady working told us it wouldn't be ready until evening (so we decided to go out to grab dinner first).
Our old room had proper shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. The new room had the dinky, travel-sized ones. This hotel also provides a bar of soap for washing hands at the sink rather than liquid soap (super outdated practice).
The ONLY thing keeping my rating of this place at a 2 star rather than 1 star is the complimentary breakfast. It was actually quite good! Two different waffle batters (red velvet / malted vanilla) and two different waffle molds. Sausage, bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy. I actually really enjoyed the hot breakfast here (it was the ONE positive). The biscuits were a lil on the dry side but the sausage gravy "fixed" them.
Oh right, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that on the last day, RIGHT AS WE WERE ABOUT TO LEAVE THE ROOM FOR CHECKOUT, the bathroom ceiling started leaking (video posted on Yelp). At first we thought it was raining outside and on the roof but no, it was actual water flowing through the light fixture in the ceiling right above the toilet. Thank God we were on our way...
