PLEASE READ BEFORE VISITING Came into this restaurant on a Thursday night not busy at all there was more than plenty parking, came in with high expectations which were not met at all. If you’re looking to get an actual ALL YOU CAN EAT, I would not recommend this place at all.

To start off the portions are ridiculous. You get only 4 pieces of sushi per order/roll, appetizers I had order the mango salmon and the pepper tuna. I literally received two small pieces for EACH ORDER. that’s not even the embarrassing part. If you want a soft drink it’ll cost you 4 bucks and you receive a literal juniors cup as your drink… RIDICULOUS. The service was overall not the greatest. My server was really cool and I felt bad for the guy because it would be just him on my side of the restaurant taking mine and another table order and also bartending. Mind you there’s other staff there too. It would take over 5-10 minutes to just get a drink and I honestly don’t blame my server because it’s one person and he has to be running up and down but come on… you have other staff sitting down at tables not doing anything. You might as well help him out with drinks.. This place is nothing but a big scam, and they scammed me out of my 40 bucks for one person. They care more about presentation and aesthetics more than actual quality of food and quantity. If this that was the portion they serve for dinner I could not imagine how small the portions would be for lunch.

Overall, do not visit this place if your coming in with a big appetite or let alone if your coming with a large group and want to enjoy AYCE. This will make you rethink of sticking with your second thoughts. I’ve been to couple of AYCE sushi restaurants and this is the first ever time i’ve wrote a review for ANYTHING.

I write this not to throw dirt or shade on this restaurant but to save people’s money, avoid being scammer and just to choose another restaurant. Should’ve bought a pizza instead…...

Had lunch here, it wasn't too busy as more than half the restaurant was empty. Four to five were at the hostess stand, they confused as how to seat an odd number of people. Not where, based on waiter/waitress availability but one of the girls asked the guy at the bar & he told her where to seat us but that as just needed the five place settings/menus for our party of five.

Food was okay. I totally understand the small plates, for an AYCE it prevents the waste of food for those who may be over indulgent or leave half eaten dishes due to not liking but wiling to try.

Buns were good, but they were out of the pork belly one.

Ramen was bland, the egg was overcooked.

Calamari, was good but some calamari plates were more salty than others. A nice serving size without skimping on calamari.

Potato croquette, nice crunch!

Various sushi, it was fine.

Fried rice was good, they were accommodating in making one with no vegetables for our picky eater.

Chicken karage... slightly overcooked.

Our waitress seemed to be the only one on our side of the restaurant, she had about four or five tables maybe, other staff members did help being out the food. That being said I had to ask for a water refill three times, only got a refill once. I don't believe it's her fault, she just needed more help.

Dishes come out hot, fresh, & fast. I do appreciate that the oil isn't dirty/overused for fried items. They were a light golden brown with a nice crunch & the batter stays on.

Still needs improvement for staff support & training but I do want to say that everyone was extremely pleasant. The interior is beautiful inside & the price is fair. We may come back in a few months...

LOVE THE REBRAND!!!

I used to go here when it was Take a Bao, and they closed for a little to rebrand. God I am so happy they went this direction though! The staff are all the same people, but more importantly, the FOOD is still incredible! It's a buffet where they cook the food in the back and bring it to your table to eat! The portion sizes are smaller now so you don't fill up too fast, but it's all you can eat so if you're still hungry you can just order more lol. When you sit down they tell you each person can order max 5 items per round, and order more (or less) as the night goes on. I think my boyfriend and I ate maybe 8 plates each before we got full lol. The menu is REALLY nice and diverse (the uber menu is pretty much the same items they have at the restaurant, so you can take a look there to see what they'd have, again portions will be smaller and there's no charge for items you order.) You could eat 3 rounds of 5 plates and still only pay that entree fee! The only thing I'll warn is that if you order too much and leave any plate untouched, they charge 5 dollars for each untouched entree. The only thing I DON'T agree with is that if you pay that untouched food fee you don't get to take it home, so just pace yourself and order less if you start getting full. We didn't have to worry about it but I do wish I could pay like 5 per entree to take home something so the food isn't wasted. But really, this was an incredible experience, and I'm REALLY excited to go back!! I'm telling basically everyone in the area about their rebrand, I just haven't seen anyone else so Japanese buffet like this and we really enjoyed...

Fresh and delicious handrolled sushi. We samples almost everything from the menu. They have a variety of traditional Japanese appetizers like takoyaki (fried octopus balls) and bao buns (white fluffy dumpling bread topped with beef and cilantro - my husband joked that it was a Japanese taco).. They also have some items that reflect their Texas location. They have fried stuffed jalapenos. The tempora calimari was large and fresh. We had so many different types of sushi rolls that I can't even name them all. Everything was good. I remember the Volcano rolls were tasty, but messy. I was eating so fast, I didn't get any pictures. My 11 yr old son at a dozen eel sashimi on his own. It was his favorite thing in the menu. My husband and I killed two bowls of sashimi. I enjoyed it all, but the smoked salmon was particularly tasty. The sashimi is served on a bed of ice with a fresh lemon wedges. The wait staff was amazing. We sent in order after order after order and he was prompt and friendly throughout it all. He kept my water full and I was thirsty after a long day walking around the nearby amusement park. My husband ended the meal with the creme brulee. They have tiramisu, ice cream, and a few other dessert options. If you have a friend that you would like to turn on to Japanese-American cuisine, this would be the place to go. The all-you-can-eat option allows for exploration. This setup allows for ordering small quantities of a menu item to decrease waste and get a taste of everything that would be too cost prohibitive if buying a la carte. We loved it. We left full. It was a good experience. Perfect for my family.

I was recommended this place by family who’ve have gone here multiple times since it’s opened! I had an outstanding experience at Tokyo Mizu in Arlington, Texas—definitely a 5/5 star experience across the board! The food was exceptional, with fresh, high-quality sashimi and fish that were made to order. Each dish was delicious, with perfectly sized portions that made it easy to enjoy multiple rounds (we ended up ordering FIVE!). The sushi and mantou were on par with what I've had in Asia—authentic and flavorful. Every bite was a delight, and you could really taste the care and quality in each dish. The service was equally impressive. We arrived around 5pm on a Friday, before the dinner rush, and were promptly seated. The staff was quick, attentive, and responsive to our needs. A special shoutout to Brittany for taking exceptional care of us—she was friendly, knowledgeable, and made our experience feel personal and welcoming. Her service definitely added to the overall great experience. The ambience was the perfect complement to the meal. The space is filled with beautiful Japanese artwork and aesthetic touches, from floral designs to elegant decor, creating a cozy, homey atmosphere. The vibe was warm, pleasant, and had a cheerful energy that made us feel right at home. It’s a place where you can truly relax and enjoy your meal. Overall, Tokyo Mizu is a must-visit in Arlington. The combination of top-notch food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a standout spot. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
