This is by far my absolute favorite ride in the entire theme park!!!!!! If you’re looking for good views very high up. The backseat is perfect. If you’re looking for the highest amount of euphoria/adrenaline rush. Go to the very front. Up there. It absolutely will throw you around all over the place and you’re going to feel completely weightless when you were going up that vertical spike. And plus since it’s going backwards. If you’re in the very front and you’re looking for the adrenaline inducing stuff. It’s going to absolutely yank you through that tunnel and all over the place but in a smooth way. It is super fun up in the very front. that is my absolute favorite spot to ride. I’m more the guy who likes to go into the adrenaline inducing stuff. But the back is also quite fast as well. But if you’re in the front seat oh my gosh! You’re gonna go flying. But I do know that the whole ride goes the same speed. It’s just up in the very front since it goes backwards. The front feels faster. Do I recommend this ride? Oh heck yes!!!!!! You will not regret it. If you want it to be more fun. Just ask the announcer to not give a countdown. It makes it even more fun. Every time I go on there there’s no countdown. I love it though. I still like all the other roller coasters in the theme park a lot. But Mr. freeze? It’s just so fun in every way some parts of it you cannot even describe. Every time I go to Six Flags I always get on there. I love this...
Read moreThis is a great ride! I think this is one of the most intense coasters anywhere. The launch isn't too powerful, but everything else is wild! On my visit, the forwards side was the only one running so I only got to do the forwards side. The inverted top hat, overbank, and spike are all good going forward, but when you go backwards, it is way crazier. The inverted top hat going backwards is a very disorienting moment where you have no idea what is going on. The spike is very unique with its LIMs pushing you up then back down that spike. It is a feeling that you can't find on any other coaster. The positive g forces in the valleys of the coaster will make you start to grey out. It is an adrenaline rush, I can only imagine what the backwards side feels like. If both are open try both of them out. This is a very unique ride and you should absolutely check it out during...
Read moreTalk about a cold reception. This launch coaster is one of the most bone-chilling rides at Six Flags Over Texas.....and you get to do it BACKWARDS! Originally running facing forwards, SFOT switched the trains in the 2012 season so that they now face backwards, hence the new name. Granted, in its original orientation, you wind up going backwards regardless since it's a 'shuttle' coaster......You can have ridden this a hundred times, but that sudden burst of acceleration will still take you by surprise (and it pulls some impressive G-forces, too!) There are LIMs [linear induction motors] on the initial launch and another set of 'boosters' on the vertical section that propels the train toward the top of the 200ft+ spike. In 2002, decidedly uncomfortable over-the-shoulder-restrains were replaced with individual ratcheting lap bars for a much improved...
