After graduating high school in 2000, I began my college career in the criminal justice field. I had to put my schooling on hold after starting my family due to having to work-full time to support my two children. I have been working ever since and was always disappointed in myself for never completing college. I have been employed for the last 16 1/2 years in the public health department, and although I enjoy what I do, my passion has always been to work in the legal field. Now that my children are older, I decided to take the opportunity to pursue a career as a court reporter.
After researching online, I came across Arlington Career Institute, which checked off all of the criteria I was looking for. Because of my work schedule and where I live, one of the biggest advantages ACI offers is the opportunity to complete the Court Reporting Voice Writing Program entirely online. I have the flexibility to work at times that best fits my schedule.
From the start, ACI's staff was so helpful in answering any questions that I had. Ms. Terrie answered all my questions with the admission process, Ms. Laura answered all my financial aid questions, and Ms. Amber kept me up to date with scheduling and book information. ACI's staff members really care about their students and provide you with the necessary information to ensure a smooth transition process. Ms. Oakley provided helpful tips, Mr. Vecchio Jr. provided helpful information in regard to the student portal, and Ms. Deedee Vecchio has just been amazing. When I had questions about my course progress, she responded right away and answered all of my questions. When you reach out to the administrative staff and ACI's instructors, they promptly respond to you with the clear answers you need.
Fortunately, I am nearing the end of the program. I have about one quarter and a half left to go. All of my instructors throughout this program have been wonderful. The instructors I have worked closely with have been Ms. Trahan and Mrs. Brownlow, and more recently, Ms. Montgomery and Mrs. Lipford. Each week, they provide you with clear instructions with all the necessary materials for you to successfully complete all assignments. If I contacted them just to double check my understanding, they always responded right away. They really enjoy what they do, and they want to see all of their students succeed.
Whether you are just starting out after high school or looking for a career change, I highly recommend you attend ACI. They offer various programs that fits everyone's needs. I am so grateful for ACI and all its staff members and instructors. It may have taken me some time to get back to school, but it's never too late! I'm so glad I found ACI, and I know you won't be...

Review for CNA Program & School
This CNA program is extremely well-organized and provides a great learning experience. Recently, the program upgraded to brand-new beds, which enhances hands-on training and allows for more in-depth simulations. These improvements make a huge difference in preparing students for real-world patient care.
Another great aspect of this program is the flexible payment plans, which are incredibly beneficial for students managing financial responsibilities. Additionally, the hybrid formatâwith online lectures and in-person labsâmakes it convenient for those with busy schedules while still ensuring a comprehensive education.
Mrs. Sandra is an amazing instructor who truly cares about her students' success. Her structured, engaging, and thorough teaching approach makes learning both effective and enjoyable. She welcomes questions and provides clear explanations, ensuring every student feels supported.
One improvement Iâd love to see is an increase in available supplies, such as dentures and urinals, so students donât have to wait in line to practice with them. That being said, the program is fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a CNA career. 10/10...
Read moreThis review is based on my experience with the cna (certified nursing assistant) program. Very quick and easy enrollment process. Paid $95 down and then you can make weekly payments in increments of $150 that is auto drafted. This is a 5 week program which includes the following schedule Week 1-2 (Live online lectures with the one and only firecracker Ms.Sandra!!!). During the two weeks you meet daily 9-2pm we got breaks and a lunch break. During that time if you are unable to attend the lecture Mrs Sandra provides you a alternative homework assignment. This was good for people who work. For the live lectures cameras are mandatory and participation goes a long way in retaining the large amount of information in a short time period. You will use the information learned to complete all 10 chapters in your workbooksâŠ.skills assignments⊠quizzes⊠hand written skillsâŠ. Mind you receive the skills and your workbook before class.. my advise START WRITING THE 22 skills as soon as you receive them.. Also follow along during the lectures and you will be able to complete the workbook.. It is alot of writing and things to complete but if you stay on it and not procrastinate you will do fine.. Week 3 you have a cpr class that is required if you are not certified. The remaining 3 days are reserved for skills training. There is 3 choices for which clinical week you would like to complete your hours. That is chosen right before class. You get two sets of scrubs love the color absolutely hated the sizing.. Clinical site was 7mins from school I appreciated the 6-2pm clinical shift. advise for clinicals be on time, ask questions , heavy on ask questions. Mrs Sandra leads the clinicals I was in week 1 and there was tough days at first because we are new but it slowly became a routine. Mrs Sandra provided us with the theory as well as the hand on lessons which made clinicals enjoyable. She was there for any questions she is a no bs type of teacher she will hold u accountable for your success in the program. I which that she taught the lvn course I would love to shadow her in the lvn field. I am currently waiting on the final week to complete their clinicals so our class will officially be end and I can take the skills and written test. Study and stay focused thanks again Mrs Sandra you make this program...
