I booked this hotel room last minute after I got scammed by a 3rd party booking service. After reading the reviews, I was skeptical about staying here. I decided to take a leap of faith and stay anyway. ✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸ ☆NEGATIVES:☆
☹1. We came in through the elevator, and it smelled like marijuana. Eh, kids these days.
☹2. The room was clean, but our sink leaked a little onto the floor when the water was running. (room 371 if mgt is reading this)
☹3. There was a little mold or dirt in the corner by our air conditioner and in the corner on the floor in the bathroom. The hotel as a whole needs a tune up, but it's bearable. Also, bring conditioner/ lotion because they don't provide that.
☹4. The breakfast is small, but there were waffles, fruit, coffee, juice, and more stuff that I can't recall. Despite the sign that says "no food to be brought to rooms", we didn't have an issue bringing ours up.
☹5. The first lady we checked in with was kinda rude.
☹6. There was no bible in our room. ✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸
★POSITIVES: ★
☺1. There were no bugs. Not a single bug. Not in the room, not in the hallways, not in the elevator, not in the lobby. None.
☺2. The room was clean besides what I mentioned above. I checked for bugs when I first walked in the room, and it was definitely not filthy to any extent.
☺3. The sign at the front desk says "no visitors", I'm guessing to stop people from having parties and such. I went against it and had 2 friends over to change their clothes before the concert we attended. They didn't say anything or charge anything extra, thankfully, but we also didn't cause any disturbance or damage to the room.
☺4. Like addressed above, besides the first lady, the other various (male) night/overnight employees were very pleasant and nice to talk to. I busted their chops about not having a bible in my room.
☺5. They upgraded me to an 'oceanview' balcony room which was only a small oceanview but it was nice that they upgraded me for free. I only paid $98 for a last minute stay on a Saturday! They also had no issue giving us rooms next to our friends that booked a room the same night.
☺6. The location is AWESOME, it's less than a 2 minute walk until you touch sand, and a close walk to showboat, ballys, and everything else (except tropicana, that's kinda far)

We only brought one car, so we can't vouch for the extra parking fee. We did check out and leave our car parked, and did some shopping, without any issue from the staff there.
There was not enough electrical outlets. Bring a power strip if you decide to stay and have a lot to charge.
There was more than one breakfast table in the lobby.
No wifi.
I'll definitely be staying here again, possibly this...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! The location is great. We got there late about 11pm on the 30th of may.We had 2 rooms with the 3 beds. Around 2am my son sent me a message with a picture of a bed bug in the room he was in. He calls and said he just dozed off and the bug was biting on his dialysis site. We told the staff on site and he was very unprofessional about it. He said it was a roach but it was clearly a bed bug. We showed him pictures and the actual bug in a napkin that was dead because my son killed it. He told us we have to wait until in the morning to speak with the manager and when my son said he was not staying in that room and started calling other hotels the staff member offered us a new room which we did not want because with my knowledge of bed bugs I know that if there is one in that building it’s probably a infestation somewhere. the staff member forced us to get our stuff out of the room and give him the key. It was like he wanted to give us no choice but to take another room. We told him we would just pile up in the other room we had because in the morning we wanted to talk to the manager and get a refund and go. I didn’t go to sleep that night because I was trying to watch everyone to make sure they didn’t get bit by any bugs. When everyone woke up 2 more people had bites. I was exhausted and irritated. The manager was still not there but the staff member that started the shift call him on the phone. The manager said if you were not happy you should have left the hotel and I said and sleep where in my car. We cam with 12 people and 3 were 1, 6 and 7 year old. He did not care that they had bedbugs saying that it’s not his fault the people staying there brought them. The whole thing was unprofessional. He ended up charging us for a half a day for the room they were in for 3 hours and charging a full day for the one we had to pile in which obviously had bed bugs too because 2 people got bit in there also and the rooms where on 2 separate floors so I’m sure the whole building has them. Days Inn took forever to refund us for the other days we didn’t stay. In my personal opinion we should have gotten a full refund for the inconvenience. The manager did say that he was going to get someone out there to check it out and I would be getting an email from that company, which I never got. I’m just going to assume that they never called anyone out and other people will be having the same experience...
Read moreI was so excited for this. We were up during a bachelorette party, so the reports of this being a party hotel didn't concern me as much. The hotel is a complete dump. The hallways smelled like cigarettes and old liquor and the whole place was dark and dank. We get to the rooms, which also smell like cigarettes and old liquor, and find mold pretty much every where. The curtains were dry rotted. My experience with onsite staff was mediocre. I didn't find them rude, just inept (which will play a part later in the review). After being in the room a few hours we were all coughing and felt like we were coated with mildew. One of our party actually had to go to the hospital next morning for lung problems from the condition of the hotel. After that, the hotel lost all power due to a "minor electrical fire". When we questioned the front desk we were simply told that they'd decide what to do later in the day and whether or not the power would actually come back on. When asked if they could switch us to another property, we were told no and that we'd have to stay in our rooms. After the fire department came and told everyone to leave, we again asked and they didn't have any answers on staying. When corporate was called, they told us that they were giving no refunds for the nights we already booked or for the part of our stay that was unsatisfactory beforehand. The corporate person on the phone said he didn't believe us when we told him we couldn't stay there due to the fire department forcing us out or the hotel staff saying we had to evacuate (that's a quote, "everyone is being evacuated"). The level of ineptness on the part of the staff as a whole, the rudeness of the off sight management and the physical disaster of the hotel itself pretty much ruined our trip. Never, ever, ever stay here no matter how...
