Update: Carelle reached out to me after I left my review and explained the circumstances to me about it being unusually busy the day I came in and reiterated that I could come in again and have my nails redone with no charge. I saw her earlier today and she was very friendly and apologetic. She took her time on my nails and I was really happy with the result. I really appreciated her contacting me to make sure I was happy with my nuls and will definitely be back again. I decided to try a different place than my usual and found this place online. I scheduled an appointment online a few days in advance. when I arrived, I waited a few minutes and that was fine although the first red flag was when my tech tried to take back a walk-in that came in after me after my scheduled appointment time. It kind of seemed like they did not expect me to actually come in. The first half of the appointment she had to repeatedly stop and finish up with her previous client. She was also clearly trying to get my nails done as fast as possible and kept hitting my nails awkwardly while filing them. I didn't mind the rushing at first because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately these might be the worst acrylics I have ever gotten. She barely spent anytime shaping them so they're all crooked. Some have thick acrylic at the cuticle because she spent so little time actually shaping them. I had also asked for cat eye polish when I set up the appointment online which she seemed unaware of. The polish was definitely cheap and had spelling errors on the bottle ("keep in a coop place") and seemed like it was purchased on AliExpress or a similar place. When it came to applying the cats eye, she just waved the magnet around with no rhyme or reason. The polish was also applied very thinly and not very neatly. With tip it cost almost $100 for an acrylic fill with 4 replacement nails. For what they ended up looking like it's just not worth it. Pictured are my nails less than 24 hours after my appointment.

I just moved to Baltimore about 2 weeks ago and desperately needed a new place to get my toes done. I came here rather than a place closer to me due to the good reviews (4.4 stars). I called ahead of time to see if there was an opening today, and I was informed that they were available at 2 o’clock. I come in at 2 and both techs were doing acrylic nails on clients. They seemed short-staffed (only two employees), but I waited about 35 minutes to get in the chair even though my appointment was for 2. I’m finally getting my toes done and two other clients walk in for a mani-pedi. I notice that my technician begins to rush which ended up making me bleed due to the drill hitting my skin and causing a scrape since he was taking off the gel that was on my nail. He quickly puts my foot back in the water. After that he takes it out and applies alcohol which causes it to burn. I told him that really hurts. He puts the foot back in the water and continues. I understand accidents happen but it seemed to only happen because he was rushing. In addition, my gel manicure cost $60 which I believe was absurd. I got $60 for a scraped toe and a very basic gel application. Not pleased. I can here to relax and get a nice polish, but I got the opposite. I will not be returning especially since I am very worried about a possible infection.

charged me over 66$ for this … thieves .. also passive aggressive employees.. also said said they would do a mani pedi but said she isn’t able to anymore because she has an appointment … i accidentally went there thinking it was a different nail salon.. and stayed for the service and to give them a try they seem black owned . The clerk said they take walk ins but I’d have to wait 45 mins .. I came back a bit later and that obviously upset her which my apologies she didn’t even respond to … ( I asked for a walk in but OKAY). She had a very fluctuating attitude the Entire time which was kinda uncomfortable she was sitting there mad and passive didn’t do a good job .. then said I could come back later if I wanted to … imagine.. anyways this is how they will do your nails when you make the mistakes of coming in late .. ion get my nails done a lot and this was an unpleasant experience… id say go else where . Simple gel service .

I hardly ever give such a low rating to a business, but in this case it is warranted. PLEASE BELIEVE THE OTHER 1 star reviews on Yelp. My fiancé called and asked if they had appointment availability for a polish change. They confirmed that they did and I arrived within 10 minutes of that phone call. When I first walked in, the female owner did not greet me and seemed actually annoyed by my presence. Alternatively, the male who was working was professional, and even when I said I didn't want gel, he was amenable to showing me the other colors. I picked a color and got seated. No one else was in the salon at this time. Unfortunately, though, my coffee cup, which was placed in the cupholder of the pedicure station, toppled over. I was really embarrassed and immediately asked for towels to help clean up the spill. The female owner was seated and didn't get up to get me any towels, a mop, or anything that would help contain the spill. She literally just looked at me and did nothing . The male, however, got towels and even a mop. I started to help him clean up with the towels, and he asked me to just step aside so he could manage the situation. The woman then began to yell at me because she was upset that I had moved. She stated that I would trail the liquid with me. I had only moved slightly to the side. She continued with her tangent and at some point, both of them were giving me separate instructions. He would say one thing, and she would say the opposite. The male, though, still remained very professional and calm. The woman, however, begin to hurl insults. After I sat down as the male had instructed, she came and stood over me and said that he needed to stop cleaning up and that I needed to do it by myself. She instructed him to hand me the mop and he didn't. She continued to say rude things the entire time so eventually, I decided that I would leave because her attitude was so terrible. I did not want to sit through a polish change and be berated the entire time.

I let the male know that I would still pay him for his time, because he had cleaned up a spill, which was my fault. (He had not started on the polish change). The woman then, butted in and said, " you don't need to pay for anything - just get out of my shop." Furthermore, as I was walking to the front to leave she continued to come up to me yelling. I have never witnessed this behavior at other salons in the area. I had to tell her to get out of my face and at this point, I was not as calm. I had ignored up until this point.

Additionally, when one customer arrived for her 11am appointment, they told her that her nail technician called in sick. They did not offer to service her. Instead, the customer asked if the woman could do a pink and white set for her since her technician was not there. The woman begin to ask her if she had her nails done there before and laundry list of other questions. I am not sure if she was able to get her nails done. This particular customer had already walked outside as I was exiting the salon.

I cannot speak to the quality of their work, but I can attest to that level of professionalism and service, and it was not good.

Update: reading the reply from the alleged owner should tell you all you need to know. The arrogance, lies and negative tone comes through in the writing so imagine what it was like in person. Anyway, there are great salons in Baltimore and I am thankful that I had the option and means to go...

Everyone was very nice, this review based on the quality of service provided. The first time I went a gentleman did my gel manicure and while filing he filed my nailed too short and it began bleeding. I told him to stop but for some reason he kept trying to fix it. It's annoying when you get your nails done and leave and now have to worry about your finger hurting for the next few days.

I wanted to give them another chance and since this place is convenient to where I leave I decided to go again. I made an appointment because I wanted a full set with designs which I know takes more time. I had a different gentleman and he told me when I came in that it would take too long to do the design. He spoke to one of the other technicians and she agreed to do it. I shouldn't have to compromise my service for the benefit of their time. My appointment was at 2pm, he was not done putting my set on until 4:30pm and they closed at 5:00pm. I never in my life had to wait this long for a set to be done and by that time I was over it and was ready to leave. I told them no design because they still had to do my pedicure. I was in there while they were closing up shop waiting for my nails to dry.

The quality of my nails were done poorly and you can tell especially once they start to grow out because the nail is cracking on the side and one of them broke a week later. I do not...
