TAKEOUT/GRUBHUB: THIS REVIEW IS SOLELY BASED ON GRUBHUB ACTION VIA "PICK UP" ON MY PART. INITIAL WALK IN TO THE ESTABLISHMENT HAS ME PINING FOR MY NEXT OPPORTUNITY TO SIT DOWN AND HAVE SOME "PIE" AND LIBATIONS JUST BASED ON THE AMBIANCE. TO BE CONTINUED......

CALZONE & VEGGIE SUPREME 16" WERE MY WEAPONS OF CHOICE. CALZONE REALLY SURPRISED ME W/QUITE the TASTY CRUST SEASONING (+). I went with CHICKEN GONE WILD and i will go with that AGAIN! NO QUESTION. VEGGIE SUPREME VEGETABLE TEXTURE (+). IM BIG ON FOOD BEING CRISP VERSUS SOGGY. AND THAT THERE IS A FLAKINESS TO THE CRUST WHEN YOU GET A PIE! I WAS HAPPY WITH BOTH INSTANCES WITH THE VEGGIE.

4 OUT OF 5 STARS FOR THREE REASONS (WHICH MAY NOT BE A CONCERN FOR ANYONE ELSE) : THE BUILD YOUR OWN OPTIONS CAN GET EXPENSIVE QUICK, THE GRUBHUB PROCESS DIDNT PROVIDE ANY KIND OF UPDATE FOR ME. THIS CAN BE PROBLEMATIC IF YOU ARE TRYING TO MULTITASK. AND FINALLY THE PARKING IS A CHALLENGE SINCE ITS ON THE STREET WITHOUT ITS ON PARKING LOT.

Called the location on Charles St. To have a pizza and a pound of wings delivered while staying at the Kimpton hotel a few blocks away. Person on the phone said it will be about 45 minutes. It was over 2 hours until the food finally arrived. When it got here the pizza and wings were cold... yes cold almost like the food was sitting in a refrigerator before being delivered. After it was delivered I called and explained that the food took a very long time to get here and it was no longer hot. The girl who answered the phone insisted on letting them make it right by delivering another pizza and wings to us. At this point it was 10pm, we were very hungry, and running out of time to have another place deliver something to us. She insisted she could have someone to our room with hot food in hand within 45 minutes. 45 minutes later no food, an hour later still no food. Called several times until someone actually answered the phone. When they finally answered they told us it's been a crazy night and they will just refund our order. Waited over 4 hours for them to deliver a hot meal, but it never happened. By the time we finally knew they weren't going to bring us food it was too late to have anyone else deliver food. After working a long day taking care of patients I didn’t feel like cooking. I wanted to try something new. I ordered the touchdown pizza and red pepper wings. The pizza arrived timely and a I gave an additional tip at the door. Fault of my own, I didn’t check the pizza. When I got into my apartment it wasn’t what I ordered. I called and I was told that the driver was heading back with my pizza. I called every 10 minutes and was told that he was on his way. It doesn’t take that long to get to me Is why I called every 10 min. If it’s going to take another 45 minutes, she should have said so instead of lie. Honesty goes a long way. I’m Hungary and now it’s getting close to the time I want to go to sleep so I call and asked to speak to the manager, one time I was told he just left he will be back another call I was told he home with the flu. The last call I was I asked to speak to the manager and I demanded my money back I got on the phone with the owner Haluk Kantar he said he would give me my money back and he will still send the pizza. I got the pizza which was tampered with. It was nice and hot but my mom, who was sharing it with me had a tiny rubber piece of something on her slice.
