April 2025 Update: Has it been this long since I updated? I've probably stayed her quite a few times since the July 10 update. Looks like the entire area is back in the swing of things now. This is still my go to hotel when I come to Bellevue and the staff are always nice and accommodating. Although the club has not reopened, they do put snacks and drinks in my room so that is much appreciated. And this past weekend, Ashley left me a nice note in the room along with some apples they usually have at the front desk. Room was clean, hotel was great and so is the dining and shopping in this area. Stay here and you won't be disappointed. I come up from PDX and my buddy lives in Tacoma so we stay here often so we can get more nights towards our Globalist status. We generally get the buffet at Eques, but since it was Easter, we ate of the menu there as there was no breakfast buffet. July 10, 2021 update: Went up to Bellevue for a night to see if things are opening back up. No masks, Suite (hotel bar/club) was open and so was 13 coins and Eques but the little shops were closed so not sure if they close only on the weekends. Still the best hotel to stay in in my opinion and the parking is still free on the weekends unless you want to be a baller and valet. There are lots of cranes in Bellevue right now and I fear the view to the west of the Seattle skyline will soon be gone based on the height of the cranes and I was on the highest floor this trip. I frequent this hotel quite often. When I travel to Seattle area for my weekend get away's, this is where I go so I actually never go in Seattle. They have valet parking and self parking. Pro Tip: Skip the valet and self parking is free on the weekends starting Friday evening and trust me, you won't need your car the entire weekend. This hotel never disappoints as it's a great place to be. It's right across the street from Bellevue Square Mall, it has many places to eat in the lobby like Suite, 13 Coins and Eques and some smaller shops that have quick chow. Also, via the second floor, you can take the sky bridges over to the mall and other parts so you don't have to get wet unless it's raining sideways. Staff are always friendly and rooms are modern rooms and clean with USB ports between the two beds and a really big TV. You can get rooms with better views but will cost ya- did a Jr. Suite once and it was on high floor with separate bedroom and sleeper sofa. Bellevue is a really clean city and the area around the hotel is super clean inside and out. Lots of ballrooms and there is always some type of convention going on there...I can neither confirm nor deny that I've may have sneaked into a few for some free food and dranks haha. Right now, the hotel lobby has a huge Christmas tree in the lobby and some cool lights outside on the trees by valet parking. Also, about 7pm during the Christmas season, they shut down the main street for a parade that lasts about 20 min. Lastly, they serve some type of Mimosa in the hotel lobby on Fri and Sat around the time folks are checking in...get your...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Bellevue. I was there for a convention and stayed overnight on a Saturday and checked out Sunday. Because I'm disabled and use a wheelchair I booked an ADA room.
Upon entering my room, the door didn't have a way to prop it open so I could squeeze through in my wheelchair. On top of that my chair barely fit through the entryway of my room and there was not much room to maneuver until you get further into the room. Thank goodness I can walk short distances.
Around dinner time I went back up to my room to order some food. I was rather surprised that they didn't offer room service, except for breakfast. They don't allow delivery to your room so door dash was out. There was no pamphlet in the room listing any services and it was only after googling the hotel that I found out about the 13 Coins bar just off the lobby. They offered delivery to my room. The food was delicious, though expensive.
Later that evening, after the convention concert ended close to 11pm, I wanted nothing more than a soak in the tub but upon closer inspection I found that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. There was hair in the bathtub and on the shower head. I also found that the little amenities kits they offered were open and used. There were other small signs that my room hadn't been cleaned properly too. I was exhausted so I just went to bed.
The next morning I got ready to check out. I called the lobby and asked for help getting my luggage downstairs because I'm in a wheelchair and was informed that they'd send someone up and it would only take a couple of minutes. I waited at my door for 35 minutes before I called down again. They apologized and said they'd send someone right up. Another 15 minutes went by and still no help so I decided to try to push my luggage in front of me while I steered my wheelchair. When I got to the elevator a hotel employee was there with a cart full of luggage. He helped me get into the elevator but upon reaching the lobby asked if I could continue pushing my luggage in front of me, so I did.
The single saving grace of the whole situation was he offered to hold onto my luggage until I was ready to go home when the convention ended that evening.
I spent $400+ on that hotel room and honestly feel ripped off. I got an email asking me to complete a survey and so I answered honestly like I have here. I got a response saying they were sorry and that being ADA accessible was important to them but they didn't try to make up for my poor experience.
On top of all that, the elevator doors close too quickly and if you're disabled be prepared to get hit by them repeatedly. I spoke with other wheelchair users there and they all had similar experiences.
If you need ADA accommodations, don't stay here.
UPDATE: They have offered to give me a free night stay in one of their hotels in the future to make...

They directed us to our room and that was the end of the interaction. This time we felt the room was clean but with only one soap in the sink, one cup for the coffee (we were two) and one plastic glass for water. It felt that we had the bare minimum that the hotel needed to offer. The room assigned to us was in the middle hallway were constantly day and night-late night- we could hear kids running all the way over and over .. super noisy. We didn’t have the best sleep ever for sure. This time around we left feeling tired and unhappy. Besides that location is great and lots of amenities around. Chances of coming back are 50-50.
This is a super well located Hyatt hotel if you are planning to visit Bellevue Square or the hundreds of restaurants and small shops around. The hotel is very nice, good size rooms and if you are willing to pay more they will give you a higher floor with a view -we didn't- (somehow it kind of differentiates the guests by their ability to pay more or not..so when you are in the elevator and everybody punches their floor people in the lower floor obviously are the ones with less money...shame) The rooms are clean, good size and with all the amenities. A shame that they aren't just yet in the XXI Century where people streams their own movies to their TVs as TV is boring. Many hotels now offer phone-tv streaming free of charge but here they don't offer any. The rooms are supposed to open by using your phone if you have their app...not really. Good idea not developed as intended. The front desk is quite indifferent and they just "process" you as fast as they can with no human interaction. Their concierge is not versed in the local amenities unless they are in the Square. Not great. Next time, for the price we will look for other options...but if we don't find any then we...
