After we experienced a disaster we had to move into a hotel for multiple months. Which lead to finding out there are many many issues with this property. The first issue we experienced is the noise, there were numerous times that we had to report other guests above us for noise whether it's running, jumping, stomping, etc. It was consistent and even had times that large parties who would run the halls and/or talk loudly in the halls going late into the night. Nothing was done for this and was only told after the stay, well after x time of the night they can only step in and do something. They do not state on their policy about quiet hours which normally would start around 10pm. Guest also have a right for a peaceful environment. So if the pounding and running goes on for literal hours a guest should have a right to complain about the noise. After one incident of a large party I made mention to the black lady working the front desk, who can always be heard gossiping to other guests while she is working, even told another guest our room number when I told her "B.S" to there not being quiet hours and their policy being posted right by her. So I'm under the assumption that the management sweeps issues with staff under the rug to keep the people they want working there, there. There was also numerous times that there was not even hot water to take a shower which happened more times than you would expect it to happen. Breakfast is always the same repeat items with only 4 variations and never changes away from them. We also had issues with housekeeping which they wanted us to step out of the room which then in turn we just cleaned our room and changed our sheets. Which lead to the management making threats to call our insurance on us as we didn't want to leave our room to clean it. From what I've learned is they treat their extended stay guests this way due to a one off incident out in las vegas. This is also in legal terms called discrimination.
Today when we left the hotel we got a call accusing us of stealing some bedding items which would've easily been given to them at one point throughout the stay. They have since illegally charged our card as there is zero proof that we stole anything and can't prove we didn't give them these missing items at any point of our 4 month stay.
They also had their parking lot recoated and gave their guests ZERO notice of it taking place. In which I (a business owner) had to inform them of how wrong that is. Within the last month they had a fire thing done while properly notifying guests of this with signage. Should I have asked for a consultation fee in how to handle those situations?
For all of the things we've gone through they've gave us 20000 points which isn't even 1 day of stay at most properties. When we were there over 120 days and had...
Read morewhen I booked this hotel online, I had specifically informed them that I would be an early arrival and we need an early check-in and to please ensure that we were not near an elevator .When we got there, the lady gave us our room and a few hours later, we had to change our room because there was such a strong smell of mold and mildew that we couldn’t tolerate it. It was so overpowering. They put us in another room, and there was still a hint of mold and mildew, but we went and bought Lysol spray to spray the hotel room. Then on top of it, they booked a family across from us that had a dog and I have a high allergy to dogs. Don’t think that that’s a good idea to be cold, mingling pets with humans, as some people are susceptible to allergies . Recent reviews indicated they had an infestation of bedbugs in their hotel room . I did not have that problem thank goodness, but the mold smell was terrible . They do not come and clean the room daily you have request it, don’t know when the last time the rugs in rooms were either vacuum well or cleaned. It just was not a nice place for the price that we paid. And to think they can charge you full price and a high premium to stay there, but there’s way too many issues and lack of help .The breakfast that they offer every morning it’s not really all that good the waffles you make to order are good otherwise everything else is either cold or greasy in the shaffing dishes I would have to say the next time I come to Chicago this hotel will not...
Read moreCame here in the middle of the night off the road, because I was sick on my way home. The front desk clerks were rude and incompetent on the night shift. They had me stand there waiting for about 35 minutes (while very visibly ill) because they could not figure out if I had paid when I booked my room through Priceline, even though that’s literally how Priceline works. I even showed them the payment taken from my bank account. After the 35 minutes, I myself called Priceline, and asked them to contact the hotel, which they did. Meanwhile, I was still waiting on the clerk to acknowledge that she spoke with Priceline and the clerk also said they had the same problem earlier with another customer, except that he had not prepaid because it was a work trip and the company card declined. I asked how they resolved it and they said, “Oh we sent him up to his room.” I said,”Then why can’t you send me up to my room until you figure it out, since you are aware that I paid?” Blank stare. Then,”Oh, I guess we can.” Not gonna attribute this lack of willingness to get me into a room they already knew I paid for to my skin color, but…The room: filthy and dingy. The bathroom was gross. The bed was hard, not firm - hard and uncomfortable. The toilet and floor around it were dirty and the shower was full of hair. Blonde hair. Bathroom sink was also filthy. They did not bother to mention when breakfast was at check in, and it’s fine - I would have been afraid to eat it. If I could give zero...
