So where do I begin. I Typically don't bother to share my bad experiences. But I just couldn't let this go. I ā¤ļø Red Lobsters. Who doesn't right?. Well I'm probably on the list for not returning. So my family and I went Red lobster . Our waiter Joshua M comes over to greet us. I don't know what it was for me, but I already had some kinda vibe. But I had just met him so of course I didn't know him from Adam. So I just ignored whatever I was feeling. He started with asking for our drinks. Then he left to put it in. When he returned he asked for our order. When he got to me. I asked for the Mariners broil the one with the the sausage, shrimp and potatoes and for an extra charge added snow crabs for 15.99. So Joshua goes to mention I could do like some tik tok video and add broccoli and asparagus. I really didn't care for the vegetables. But since he said they where sides I said ok. He never mentioned they were a extra charged. So when the food came out. I had to ask where we're my snow crabs? Which could have been an honest oversight. No big deal. I was pleased with my food at that time. But my Sister had an issue with her food. She had originally asked him about the difference between the 2 different crabs. Snow crabs and Bairdi crab I believe it was. And she went against her better judgment and went with the Bairdi crab because Joshua suggested this was the better crab. Well after she looked at it she noticed it was less clusters than what another family member had order but with snow crabs instead of Bairdi crabs š¦ plus she didn't like the way they looked. So she she explained her concerns and requested if she could just get the regular snow crabs. So Joshua said that was no problem he wanted her to be happy. So he went to replace the order. Why they brought back the same crabs. All they did was put some garlic butter over them and took off one of the claws. My sister specifically said she didn't want the Bairdi crabs. Why bring back the same crabs? So she was over trying to explain. She requested her money be refunded. So she didn't order anything else. I guess after seeing what my sister went through, I should have just been happy with my order. And I was. So I decided to order another Mariners Broil to go. This time I didn't switch anything. It came with snow crabs and a lobster š¦. Here is the problem. When it got to the table I decided to check it before I left. I'm glad I did. It only had one snow crab cluster. So I said to Joshua I didn't think this was enough snow crabs. I would need at least one more cluster. How much would that be. He said 15.99. So I said for just 1. I was charged 15.99 for a side order of snow crabs with my other order and got 2. So I asked to speak to the manager. So James the manager came out. I explained to him I had been charged 15.99 for 2 snow crabs cluster's on the previous order and I was ok with paying that. But now I'm being charged 15.99 for 1 cluster and the meal shows 2 clusters come with it. So I really shouldn't be charged anything. So James said he needed to go and speak with his general manager and he would be back. When he returned he stated he was sorry about my confusion but he was going to give the 2 clusters at no charge. I asked him what was I confused about. I paid 15.99 for 2 clusters on the other order. So why should I pay 15.99 for 1 clusters. There was no confusion on my end. Plus the meal should have come with 2 clusters for no additional charge if you go by the menu. So long story short James said he was giving me the 2 clusters for free. In my eyes he wasn't giving me anything, I was paying for them in the price I already was charged . So I clarified it with him before he left. I was not going to be charged the 15.99 for the 2 clusters. James said that's correct. He said he was going to speak to Joshua and let him know. Why Joshua came back with a receipt charging me for the 2 clusters? I told him to just keep the food and credit my card back. I have never had such an issue before with Red Lobsters. Where is the great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHusband and I went to red lobster the beginning of the month(I hadn't been in many many years) the food here was DELICIOUS. The service wasn't that good(slow) but the food was great. HOWEVER, we thought let's go again(tonight) mistake. We were seated pretty quickly. The waitress took a long time to come to our table. Finally she introduced herself we ordered two endless shrimp, and appetizer. My husband asked for a lemonade but once it was brought to the table it didn't look like the image do he asked for a virgin alcoholic beverage. My husband's drink took foreverrrrrr. Thank God the appetizer came (lobster dip) came because the good took a while. The Lobster dip was piping hot, but chips were stale. Food FINALLY arrived my husband received the wrong side. Asked for mashed potatoes received some sort of cold rice. (the correct side never came to the table) we both got coconut shrimp in the trio. The coconut shrimp were burned we asked for extra sauce on the shrimp pasta but it was very dry and cold. Because of the length of time for was coming out my husband asked for scampi. it never came to the tableand after repeatedly asking for the scampi waitress said it would be 6 minutes(after we asked for our check). So no since in passing for was called endless shrimp because it definitely ended. We got the first round and because it was bad my husband ate his shrimp skewer with biscuits and i are 2 coconut shrimp with broccoli and biscuits. That's all we ate. the biscuits could've been the nest thing we had but we only got 1 round of those. We explained to the waitress how terrible the food was when we finally stopped her when paying by and she said "sorry I'll let the cooks know" meanwhile at another table there were a couple of guys in from another state who then had to send their food back because it wasn't right and it was cold. The one gentle stated he left another restaurant because the other guy REALLY wanted red lobster and they were highly disappointed and sent their food back as well. In the other side of us there's was an older couple that was HIGHLY disappointed as she yelled EXTREMELY loud WAITRESS..... (because the sites was barely present with things asked for at all tables) the waitress finally appeared and the older women expressed her disappointment by yelling at her for her lobster being cold while waiting for lemon. Needless to say I am highly disappointed and the food was TOTALLY NOT worth the money we spent. Make no since to go there for endless shrimp when you barely get the first round. This USED to be one of my favorite restaurants now it's one of the worst. Do better red...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell, it's been quite a while since my wife and I visited Red Lobster, just before Covid hit and we were out in Denver, so this was definitely a treat for us. We had reservations for 6:30 but arrived early as we normally do. The staff had no problem seating us right away because the restaurant was not busy at all. Our server was very pleasant and professional and demonstrated great customer service. Service was surprisingly very quick. As we were finishing our appetizer, stuffed mushrooms, our entries arrived. My wife had the Admerals feast, which is mostly fried seafood, a baked potato, and Broccoli. Mine was the ultimate platter and preferred mostly baked and grilled items, a baked potato, and steamed broccoli. My wife told me that the butterfly shrimp had an old frozen taste, as did the fried class. The rest of her dinner was good. She wasn't really complaining but just was stating that these two items were really nothing special as far as taste goes. My platter had the lobster tail, Walt's Shrimp, grilled shrimp, and grilled scallops. Everything from my platter was good and eaten wholeheartedly. The Lobster was really small, in my opinion, and had no kind of a spice taste, just a sweet Lobster taste. We did not have dessert because we were really full and were heading to a movie right after leaving. So we settled our bill, and I left our server a nice tip, all in $2.00 bills. This is my custom when I tip because it is unique.
Now for the only real negative experience during our visit. We both needed to use the restrooms before we left, and upon entering, we both found that each of the restrooms was a disaster. They looked as if nobody had checked the facilities for hours. Products were out of stock, and one commode in the ladies' room was unserviceable because of overflow. No more details, but you can imagine. We spoke with the manager and told him our dinner was great and then we told him about the restrooms. He did apologize and said he would get them looked after right away. So all in all, a good experience, good food and a pleasant experience. I would like to see this location return or introduce more nautical elements to the motif, the same for the background music. It was kind of distracting listening to the same music that we hear while shopping for our groceries.
Good place to eat, a good place to visit and a good location to start...
