Mangos Restaurant @ Embassy Suites Tampa/Brandon — Restaurant in Florida

I have to say, out of all the hotel bar / restaurants this was quite possibly the most comfortable I've been in. Even though it's located in the lobby, it's not significantly loud. They have a good alcohol selection, and the young man who bartends in the evenings is very attentive and pleasant. The bar chairs and seating areas have quite comfortable setups. And there is plenty of seating available. The food is typical hotel food unfortunately. Not a lot of flavor, not great cuts of meat. To be completely honest, I would have preferred a steak from Outback to the steak I ordered here. It just was not a great cut, it was quite flavorless, and overcooked. I stay in hotels for work a lot, and I don't quite understand why majority of hotel restaurants food is flavorless and lacks spices, seasoning, and salt. Also got a piece of cheesecake that was about the width of my finger for $9. See photo. We ended up going elsewhere for our dinners. Which is a shame because we would have loved to stay and eat dinner on property for the convenience. Decent hotel, comfortable seating, excellent bartender/server, but the food needs to be revamped. I’m not here to drive down your stars. Please change your bartender at nights. Not sure of her name but it’s not important because I’m sure I’m not the first guest to complain. I didn’t ask her about the charge on my bill because of the way she was treating other guests . Glad I didn’t because I was able to hear her rude response all the way at the front desk. Please re train her or put her in the back where she doesn’t interact with guests.

Also to her comment on the bartender before her (that used all of the olive juice), that apparently he is “on the spectrum”, shame on you! So is my son and I can guarantee his IQ is double yours BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, he would not complain about such a mediocre, meaningless job as...
