We stopped in at Bald Eagle Coffee House late in the morning. While many of the popular places in town still had lines outside the door, we basically walked up to the counter.
There was one woman running the show, taking orders, making espresso, serving soup, buttering bread… yeah, that’s right buttering bread!
The fresh slices of buttered French bread were the highlight here. We are already craving more.
We had a white mocha espresso, served very hot. And we had the vegetable soup with two slices of bread. In all honesty, I only got the soup so I could get to that bread… and I’d do it again! The soup was delicious, though.
This place has more of a locals hangout feel to it. There is an art gallery attached with many local art offerings.
The coffee is Starbucks brand, but they have an espresso machine and the white mocha was tasty once it cooled down...
Read moreStopped by for a hit of caffeine and was not disappointed. One of the owners was running the counter and was the most friendly person in town, and happy to chat with me for a few minutes. They of course serve coffee, but also have a varied selection of hot teas to choose from. Proudly serving Tazo and Stash teas. I was excited to find they also served the Tazo chai lattes as well. There is a nice little art gallery attached to the shop but I did. Ot have time to take a closer look.
The owner was also quite knowledgeable about her coffee and teas, which is perfect for when coffee snobs like me stop by for a cup :)
I will definitely be back here for the friendly service and great tasting...
