From checking in to checking out, my stay at Schooners Cove was nothing less than perfect. The building is beautiful with an elevator conveniently located in the middle for rooms on the top floor. We stayed in a King Deluxe Studio on the 3rd floor and just about died when we walked in. The view from the room is incredible and you are so close to the beach. We immediately grabbed our bottle of wine (legal to drink on the beach) and ran out to greet the sand. Some frozen toes and an empty bottle later, we ran back into the room and warmed up by the fire. The Spa was open and we were able use it both nights. They have sufficient covid procedures that made us feel safe during the whole stay. I witnessed one of the most amazing sunsets right from the balcony. The amenities are basic but offer you exactly what you need for a beach vaca, and anyways, breakfast should be enjoyed at one of many delicious restaurants that are only mere blocks away! I have been to Cannon Beach many times and I can confidently say that this is my favorite place to stay. Cheers!

Location makes this place. In a great spot right on the beach at a comparatively decent price. Good start! You can walk to everything in town and, due to it's North end location, the beach right out front is often empty. The rooms are good size with a great view (see pics from our room's deck). Useable kitchen and bbqs add to the convenience and charm. The bed? Well, wow. We had two in our room and they were both incredibly comfortable (especially after days of 8+mile hikes. Don't come here expecting giant TVs and the latest tech. (Small TVs and a DVD player). But, who wants to sit and watch TV when Cannon Beach is right outside your door and a fireplace awaits in your room when you return from you nightly beach fire. The service is friendly from reception to room cleaning team. Really enjoyed the relaxing stay.

I have tried for over 3 months to go on a vacation but due to surgeries, etc I was unable to go. My husband died nearly 2 years ago and I have tried to hard to find refuge in the healing effects of the ocean. Finally there was a window of opportunity and I looked for a place to stay. Having had a few lackluster hotel experiences in the past I felt lucky to find Schooner’s Cove Inn in Cannon Beach. Carol was incredibly helpful and kind booking my reservation. When I arrived it had the traditional seaside look and I had a moment of skepticism. I checked in and went to my room. The first thing I saw was the ocean. I was in a room with sliding doors that opened up to a small deck and the ocean. It was beautiful. The room was somewhat basic but had exactly what I needed. The living area offered a sofa, small table and completely stocked kitchenette. The only thing I needed to add was the food. Oh, and the gas fireplace was a bonus. What a delight to be able to sit on the sofa and see the ocean with the fireplace on. The bathroom had a deep tub for relaxing after a delightful day on the beach. Which...did I mention was a short jaunt over the grass and right on to the sand. The bed was soooooo comfortable. The pillows were delightful and there were plenty for whatever height you needed to be. I quickly found Schooners Cove Inn was centrally located and literally everything in Cannon Beach was within walking distance (even after knee surgery). I spent 10 days there and would go back in a second. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing, healing and...

Definitely more positive than negative!! Negatives certainly be considered minor inconveniences. The rooms have Great views, they are nice and clean, well stopped with utensils and dishes, and the stove top is extra nice. Each room (I believe) has a balcony and the views are just unbeatable!! Rooms are also very quiet even though we had people below us and next to us, which was really nice. It's awesome that the front desk also has movies you can borrow to watch with the DVD player and they give you some free popcorn:) The hot tub is really nice and I love how you get the hot tub in private 30 minute increments by scheduling time with the front desk. The Hot tub has a huge window view of the ocean as well, it's awesome! It is also within walking distance of many many downtown shops and restaurants which is awesome. The only downside is the beds are not very comfortable. Back pain for both of us over the weekend, the pillows aren't good either so bring your own. The bed is just hard and feels kind of like sleeping on springs. Also, there is a wall in the queen room between the bed and the ocean fighting glass door to the balcony and Ocean view, which is convenient if you're sharing a room but I would suggest getting a studio or different room if you don't need the privacy wall and do you want to wake up to the view and hear the ocean while you sleep. Also the parking lot, while it had plenty of spaces, most of them are incredibly difficult to get into and definitely out of if you are driving any thing more than a small car and even then...

We had a wonderful stay at Schooner's Cove Inn and would love to stay there again if we came back to Cannon Beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable - we stayed in the "Captain's Quarters" room which was spacious and quiet (can't hear through the walls). The king bed in the bedroom was super comfortable and we both slept well. The kitchen was small but mighty! We had a stove top and cooked breakfast in the room every morning. It was lovely to be able to have breakfast while enjoying the gorgeous ocean view right outside our windows. We also had a dishwasher, which was helpful since we were traveling with 2 small children. The best part was the location - it's literally right on the beach so we could take the kids to the beach any time. It's also walking distance to all the shops & restaurants, and right across the street to Insomnia Coffee - super critical for my husband! The staff was friendly and helpful. Because we were traveling with an infant, we had shipped a bunch of bulky/heavier items (diapers, wipes, formula, breakfast cereal, etc.) to the hotel directly (from Amazon). The hotel staff informed us when they received the packages, then put the boxes in our room so everything was already there when we arrived! If you are visiting Cannon Beach, we highly...
