I don't know when, but they remodeled and the restaurant has a mild modern vibe. Food and service are still decent, but expensive. Outback is a steak house and one of our party did enjoy a steak with a side of delicious coconut encrusted fried shrimp. I took this opportunity to try the chili and soup. While both are considerably cheaper menu items, I don't think it's worth deviating from the main entres. The loaded potato soup's flavor is dominated by the broth/stock instead of the usual cheese and bacon. It was good, but not worth missing out. The Spicy Tasmanian Chili was not spicy. It resembled steak bites in a chili spiced tomatoes soup with the mildest hint of any actual heat. My wife tried it and did not comment on the heat (she's not into spicy things). My wife had the Crab Topped Barramundi, which is every bit as good as it sounds. The rice underneath the fish was deliciously seasoned as well. I've only had swordfish once, but this reminded me of a less firm swordfish. My daughter had chicken on the barbie with a bed of rice and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our server was on point the entire time. He oddly reminded the entire party of the stereotypicsl Aussie surfer. The ladies on our group all tried the wallabies darned (a deliciously peachy frozen cocktail. It's apparently a top seller and well worth a taste. As I said, it's expensive. After leaving the well deserved tip, it was around $40 per person.

4/26/25. I was served a half rotton potato and my steak was raw. I ordered well done. Waitress was lazy we had a stack of dishes hanging on end of the table. Management came out. I asked if she would eat the potato. She said no. I offered her $100 to eat it for me. Once again said no. Another manager I believe brought my new plate out. Steak was half fat. He got smart with me and I said now is not the time. I stood up and let everyone in the restaurant know I was served a rotton potato and raw steak and set back down to eat. I asked him to get out of my face and he wouldn't. I said do I need to call the cops. He instantly grabbed my plate from in front of me while I was trying to cut steak and said your out of here. Never once did he apologize or anything. I told him he is just asking for lawsuits serving rotton food. I gave this place an hour to fix the issue but it just got worse. DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SICK!!! That potato was served on purpose there is no way it as an accident. Has to be washed, then cooked and cut open, then it was prepped with toppings, and even the waitress should have seen it. It made it through all of that. Management is to blame here all day I can tell ya. I will be having local authorities look into this buisness!

Outback is definitely not an economical choice in places to go out and eat. But, by golly, it is worth every penny. The servers treat you like kings and queens and the food is top-notch. My husband ordered the largest steak they had which was an 18 oz sirloin. It was huge! They made it exactly as he requested (medium-rare). I had the seafood platter with lobster, crab cakes, and shrimp on a skewer. Everything was served with a loaf of delicious, brown nutty-sweet sort of bread that we slathered with whipped butter. An extra loaf was brought with a "be happy to!" It's the generosity for extras that make a place stand out. My husband was driving, so he had unsweet tea. I, however, splurged with a margarita 'down under'. This is what they call it when you ask for an extra shot of tequila in your drink. Fun and interesting decor, delicious food, and extra wonderful service. What more could you ask for?

My wife and I go to this location on special occasions like Mothers day or anniversaries. We have always gotten great service and great food. Granted, we haven't been here since 2020 and covid years. My how things have changed. First thing I noticed was how dirty this location is. Doors, windows, floors, booths, and bathrooms were dirty. Fingerprints and dirt, slime build up. Floors had build up in corners and windows look as if they haven't been cleaned in months. Ceiling needs attention too and the dust and crud needs swept down along with the walls. We were seated at a dirty table that they had to wipe off. I asked for silverware that we never got. I had to go to wait station to retrieve. The server came to the table, first thing I noticed was his long feminine finger nails and they were absolutely cruddy! If you're going to have long nails please keep them clean or at least paint over them so customers can't see that nasty stuff under them. Hus breath was horrible. I'm hard of hearing so lucky for me I didn't take a direct hit but my wife did. She said it was bad enough to lose her appetite. The food was great though her steak was ordered medium came out rare. Sent it back for more cooking. Our server never came back until it was time to pay but I wanted the carrot cake so when he brought the guest check I asked for the Carrot cake. I said you can put in in a go box as I would eat a little of it here and take the rest home. 25 minutes pass no cake. I stopped a person walking through asked to see manager. 10 minutes later he waddles up and asked what the issue was. No empathy after explaining our experience. Not looking for discount I'm looking for reasons and a solution for such bad service. After that I just asked for guest check with out receiving the cake paid and left. We now know why Texas Roadhouse was so busy and Outback didn't have any wait time. It's the service. Outback @5pm was 45% capacity zero wait time. Texas Roadhouse had a 2 hour wait time. Next time it's Texas Roadhouse even if we have to wait 2 hours. Never will it be Outback at this location. I gave a tip of 12% because he needs training. Hopefully, Manager will spend more time training before placing people on floor to serve. Had they been attentive to our needs and would've suggested sales the guest check could've exceeded $100. on a 2...

I’d give my first experience here a few months back a 5. Fantastic server friendly and attentive. Food was great as well and portion sizes correct. Second time. Last weekend. Poor service. We were seated and the server came promptly. The server took our order and tells me they’re out of something on the menu. I was bummed but compromised. However. Not 15 minutes later the couple beside us orders it. I listen. They magically had it now when only 15 minutes ago didn’t. Anyway. Our food when brought out started with soups. I immediately noticed one bowl full while the other wasn’t even half way. The soup had a item on top that was asked not to be on. So I mentioned it. Always being polite and understanding. I was met with a gruff attitude like I was a bother. They proceeded to tell me well we are out of it and it’ll be a wait. Makes sense as the bowl was half full or less. They ran out evidently and sent out scraps. Unacceptable behavior. You are a restaurant. It’s your job to cook the food. This shouldn’t be a hassle and if it is if consider a different line of work. I was patient polite and understanding but when I’m met with a attitude of I’m a bother then I suppose you don’t business. Main course came out. It was ok. Steak had a bunch of fat content and was dry. Fried chicken was very average. Both meals were pretty unsatisfactory for the price. Something not in the control of the workers was the inside temp of the building. It was fairly warm. Enough do it made an uncomfortable experience. I get things happen when working in this industry but don’t lie and don’t treat customers like they’re a hassle and dumb. When you spend 65+ on a meal for 2 it really should be...

Our waiter Noah was absolutely above and beyond amazing!!!! As far as the food situation..... Management should've managed better ..... And y'all (management of your franchise ) need to understand , that is nice good people like myself and my husband are the ones that come in most likely they aren't so nice and generous to your waiters and waitresses you need to make sure that your hostess at the front door has a list of everything that you do not have to let customers coming in know before they're ever seated before any time is ever wasted of your staff or your customers because you see people at a table them not knowing the items that you do not have in the amount of multiple items you do not have then you have seated that table now that table has to be cleaned that's more work for your staff unnecessary work. Besides the lack of items of food ( blooming onion, cheesy fries , baked potatoes) I'm surprised y'all had steak !!! Needless to say we traveled from Columbia,TN (Maury County TN) and expected better than what we got at home and ended up with getting less than what we would at home. As for anyone reading this if you travel to Cape Girardeau Missouri and eat at outback I hope hope hope you get the same waiter we did. He was so apologetic when he absolutely did not have to ! The manager should've came out and apologized to all of us because it was about 5 or 6 of his tables that experienced this and it shouldn't be on him, it's your franchise own up to it . Not posting pictures because the plate is not set properly with the proper items and that's on management and the "chef" and the manager did not discount anything for the...
