I was looking forward to staying at the Hyatt this past Memorial Day Weekend as I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit there in 2018. As a Veteran, I thought that a nice out of town trip would be good for me and help get min mind into a happier place. However, my fun filled girls weekend getway with my best friend was short lived. Friday night was wonderful with excellent service and no complaints. Saturday night was different. A few guests checked into the room beside ours. I believe now that the occupants of the room were underage. Starting around 10:00 pm their music was blasting as well as loud screaming and slamming doors. I tried to be patient in hopes that they would calm down but I'd had enought by 12:00 am. I knocked on the door to ask them to quiet down but they never answered. I then called the front desk and the hotel sent security to ask them to turn the music down. They complied but only for about 20 mins. The loud music and screaming continued throughout the night until about 3:00 am when I awoke to my entire room smelling like marijuana. The rooms shared an adjoining door. The smoke and smell came through the door and the vents. I called the front desk again and they sent security up to quiet the room down again as well as to assess the smoke smell. The hotel also provided air freshener for our room (per my request). Things finally got quiet around 3:30am but the partying and music started again at 7am. I went to the lobby to state my complaints face to face Sunday morning and in all I was "compensated" with 1 night of my valet parking waved ($28) and a complimentary late check out for 2pm so that I could get some "rest" before heading back home. At the time, I was fine with the compensation. I honestly was just irritated, sleep deprived, and wanted the issue to be dealt with. I am highly disappointed that the Hyatt did not remove the occupants from the room nor did they assess the situation in depth based on the numerous complaints they received that night from guests other than myself. This experience definitely has me hesitant about staying at the Hyatt again. Especially if thats how they deal with guests smoking illegal substances in their...
Read moreHonestly the hotel was mediocre. Iâve had better experiences at much cheaper places. First off the elevators never work, before you want to go anywhere make sure you set aside at least 20min to just ride it to whatever floors it decides to take you. Secondly - house keeping didnât clean our room for two days straight. No sign on the door, and we were out from 8am to 5pm each day. No house keeping in sight. When I called they said âwell yeah everyone called outâ. I donât mean to sound rude but how is that my problem? There was a 9 hour gap that they could have used to give us clean towels and make the bed. I asked the front desk to just bring us clean towels as it was already 5:30pm at this point and we werenât going to leave to have the room cleaned. But guess what? We NEVER got clean towels!! Now on to parking- thereâs about 15 parking options around the hotel including a open lot next store but they charge you $28 a day for âValetâ as their only option. Clearly a money scheme. And finally - 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed we had major issues with guests around us. And I get it, the guest arenât their job and you canât control others. However - the first night the room next to us had a phone alarm that went off from 4:45am to 7:30am. The issue was that we called, AND went to the front desk to see if they could contract someone in the room to get it taken care of. They didnât do anything. The following night there was a wedding party (which is always a nightmare for other guest). However this wedding party had 45 people in a queen sized room blaring music, breaking bottles, and screaming at 11:30 at night. Again - I get you canât control people. However, I called the front desk, no help, went to the front desks, no help, finally someone followed me up to the room and confronted the guest WITH ME THERE. Overall I expect so much more as far as cleanliness and customer service from somewhere like a Hyatt. Pretty disappointed...
Read moreWe decided to stay here for the weekend just to get away and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and clean and the staff was curtious and personable, with the exception of one housekeeper. I visited the mini bar multiple times and the drinks were well made. The mini bar also serve snacks and small meals but we decided to pass on them. While we also didn't try the restaurant we did go up to see the pool and take a few photos. It is far too cold for outdoor swimming at the moment but the pool is very small and is only 3ft deep. I wouldn't plan to swim there if we decided to visit in the summer.
We rented the One Bedroom King Suite which was roughly 725sq ft and we loved It! It was spacious, quiet and cozy. There were 3 televisions through out the room and it also included a pull out sleeper. The rate we paid also came with breakfast and it did not disappoint. They served eggs, bacon or sausage, potato medley, grits, waffles or pancakes, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, and bread. As well as coffee, water, juice, milk and tea bags. The lobby/eating area is very comfortable. We actually spent a good bit of time lounging in this area.
Lastly, PARKING! This hotel ONLY offers valet parking which runs about $28/night, if I'm not mistaking, but there are lots of preferred parking lots that surround the hotel. We parked directly in front of the hotel in a small lot (in front of valet) and we spent $7 and change/12hrs. Total, we paid around $30 for both nights. To each his own but just know that there are other options available. But I will say, the valet staff was very polite and I would have felt comfortable allowing them to park my vehicle if it had been our preference.
I highly recommend The...
