Dollop Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Chicago

So, on an early morning trek to the office, I decided to swing by Dollop Coffee to satisfy my ever-growing curiosity about different Lattes. If you've been following my coffee journey through previous reviews, you know the drill.

Dollop Coffee is this cute little spot, perfect for a quick caffeine fix on the go. The two dudes behind the counter were surprisingly cheery for that ungodly hour, which instantly set a positive tone for my morning.

Let's talk about the Vanilla Latte. It's become my litmus test for coffee joints lately, and Dollop didn't disappoint. The balance of vanilla sweetness and coffee goodness was spot on. What I appreciated most was that it wasn't scalding hot. Seriously, there's nothing worse than burning your tongue on the first sip. Props to Dollop for serving it at a drinkable temperature, allowing me to comfortably stroll to the office without a coffee-related incident.

In and out in no time, which is exactly what I needed for my morning hustle. Sometimes you just want a good coffee without the frills, and Dollop delivered on that front.

Update: I'm not going to take all the credit :-) but Dollop did an awesome scrub down of the Andersonville location and it looks fabulous! Now I can fully and with a whole heart recommend this little gem to all. Go get yourself a biscuit with butter and homemade preserves. You won't regret a thing.

OG review: I love the food here. And you can’t get a better biscuit anywhere. Had the kale rueben the last time I was in. I’m not a vegetarian and love the real thing, but this was so good I’ll be back for it again. I just wish a little more attention was paid to scrubbing the place down a bit. Things are looking a little grubby post covid....

Dollop Coffee is the perfect place for a delicious coffee. We ordered a vanilla latte and spicy mocha. The drinks were hot, nicely presented, and they had the perfect taste.

There was only one cashier working to take the orders and made the coffees, so there was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it for the end product. The only thing we noticed was that he was not wearing a hat or hair net.

There was no seating in the actual establishment but there was limited seating in the lobby next door.
