Great location in relation to CMH. Surrounding area a little dicey with police looking security vehicle patrolling through the area hotel parking lots. Buffet breakfast (included) is excellent and the restaurant employees were friendly, polite and hard working. The rooms are satisfactory and what you would expect at an Embassy Suites. Upon entering my room it was warm and smelled musty. The AC was on but no cold air was blowing out. A maintenance employee arrived and found that the panel in the wall where the heat pump filter was located was completely full of dust. It appeared that it had not been changed and the panel cleaned out in quite some time. He apologized and returned with a new filter and vacuum cleaner. The shower base had black mold along the edges and corners. He offered to change my room, but I was with friends and we had adjoining rooms. I wasn't going to shower until the morning anyway. He told me that housekeeping was in at 8am and he would be sure to have them come to clean the mold with bleach first thing in the morning. When I went down for breakfast at 7:45, I asked the front desk employee to please have someone clean the shower when they began work. I waited until 9:30am and called the front desk since no one had come. The head of housekeeping and another housekerper arrived and began to clean the area. I asked him how it was possible to have black mold in the shower. All he kept saying is I should change my room. I told him obviously the shower area was never cleaned properly and since he was the head of housekeeping it was his responsibility. He got angry and told me again that I should change my room. I told him he should do his job. The banter went back and forth until I told him that maybe I should speak with the manager. At that point he told the other employee to stop cleaning and they both left. I called the front desk and asked for the manager on duty. "Jeffrey" the manager arrived and cleaned the shower himself. He had another employee come to recaulk the base after it was clean. Appearantly it's very difficult to find good help, as is true everywhere now. I understand this, but having a totally clogged AC filter and mold in the shower is totally unacceptable and unhealthy. It seems that employee retraining is needed. All most people expect from a hotel these days is a clean room.

Very pleasant, comfortable airport hotel! This was my first visit to Columbus in decades. Unfortunately, my visit was extremely brief, just a quick one night stay on a business trip. Therefore, my colleagues and I didn't get a chance to see and experience many of the hotel's amenities. However, I can certainly give a big "thumbs up " with my initial impression of the hotel and my incredibly spacious guestroom! Although arriving and departing in the darkness of night, the hotel appears to be very well maintained and managed. The lobby, guest registration and lounge area is a very impressive, large, open atrium area allowing guests to have plenty of space to meet and relax. My guestroom was double the size of a traditional hotel room. Sadly I didn't have more time at this hotel to enjoy my comfortable, spacious guestroom suite. All of my colleagues made the same remarks on the spaciousness of their guestrooms and wishing we had more time to enjoy. My guestroom was clean and quiet. It included a living room complete with sofa, chairs and large, flat screen TV. The living area also included a decent size "kitchenette", with microwave and refrigerator, as well as a dining table. The bedroom is a separate room off the living area and included a large, comfortable queen bed with another large flat screen TV. The bathroom was really large, especially for a hotel. There was plenty of room to spread out and included a large glass shower. The hotel offers complimentary airport shuttle service which my colleagues and I greatly appreciated. The shuttle operated on schedule and both the morning and evening drivers were very nice and professional! Due to my limited time in the hotel, and having checked in prior to hotel arrival, I didn't have an opportunity to encounter any other hotel staff associates. With that said, my opinion of the Embassy Suites is completely favorable and positive. The hotel is located approximately 5 minutes from the Columbus Airport. I would certainly recommend this hotel for short and long-term stays!!

Considering this particular line of hotels, I expected a higher quality. Frankly, I was disappointed. Specifically speaking, the large plate glass shower door that seem to be hanging onto the wall for dear life. Held in with what appears to be plastic anchors, I found I was not able to keep the door closed, during a shower, resulting in a lot of water on the floor. When I brought the issue up to the front desk, The staff was very friendly and attempted to address the issue the same day. Unfortunately, they were not able to resolve the issue, so they offered up another room in exchange. I did not want to repack and unpack everything for my 5 night stay, so I asked if there was something to at least hold the door shut. While I was able to use this to get by, this is not the quality I would’ve expected from Embassy suites. Possibly most importantly to anybody else reading this review, is the quality of the bed. The mattress was subpar at best. They provide you with five different pillows, all of varying thicknesses of cotton. No two pillows are alike. I did find it difficult to get a solid night sleep There because the mattresses were just either old or cheap or both. In addition, there are also multiple holes in the ceiling and walls throughout the suite, With more plastic anchors. I’m assuming there were other things hanging in this room at one point, but repair of the holes or walls was left unfinished. Also, when I’m staying in a suites hotel, I’m used to being able to make and prepare meals in the kitchen. Unfortunately, there was no kitchen, or kitchenette to speak of. Instead, they have a bar sink and a mini fridge, with lots of shelf space. While there is a microwave, there is simply no place to actually prepare a meal. In addition, while the cleaning staff was friendly, and thorough, they forgot to restock some of the necessities, such as tissues and toilet paper. For a couple nights stay, it’s not terrible. However, If you’re trying to save money by preparing meals inside your room, this is probably not the ideal room for you.

This was my first time staying at this hotel.

STAFF - Very friendly and courteous, but with a minor setback. The woman that checked me in when I arrived greeted me with a smile, was very friendly and there were no issues. (I did not get her name) That meant a lot as it was a long day and a smiling face put me at ease. The woman who checked me out (I did not get her name) was smiling, friendly and talkative as well and there were no issues with checking out. I asked a gentleman for a reference to a good restaurant for dinner, and he was very courteous and more than willing to give me some suggestions. The woman who was overseeing the breakfast area did a great job as well. Please commend them on a job well done.

On the morning I checked out (on 4/12) One woman was fairly rude to me when I approached her to ask her a question pertaining to the checkout time. She told me noon. A short time later, I approached her again to ask her about the hotel shuttle and if they go to the Columbus airport. She spoke (in a generally rude tone) why I asked that question again when I asked it the last time. I tried to correct her and said no I didn't, but she said I did. I dropped the conversation, said thank you and walked away. This did not sit well with me and left a lasting impression as it was the last interaction I had with the people at the desk. I am a firm believer that the people at the front desks are the first and last employees at the hotel you will see, and they should have positive interactions with patrons.

ROOM - The room clean, and there was no odor which was great. The room was also very quiet as it was on the fifth floor, which was good. The fridge and microwave were clean, and everything worked fine, from the alarm clock to the TV and lights. There was extra toilet paper and plenty of towels to use.

HALLWAYS / ELEVATOR - The elevator and hallway on the fifth floor leading to my room were very clean.

FOOD - The breakfast was great!! everything stood out as being good from the pancakes, eggs, bacon and the omelets were awesome! The coffee was hot and there was plenty of creamer and sugar available. Cold milk was plentiful as well. Unfortunately, the automatic coffee machine did not work, but there was not a sign to show this. Several people tried to use it to no luck. A out of order sign was finally placed on the machine the next day.

HOTEL LOBBY AND EATING AREA - The lobby and eating area were very clean and organized. The TV had the news on and was nice to watch while eating breakfast. Overall, it felt like a relaxing atmosphere.

Overall, my first stay here was good. Thank you for everything the team does to make the hotel such a great experience. I will stay here again the next time I am in...

Disappointing Experience at Embassy Suites Columbus Airport

I regret to share my recent experience at the Embassy Suites Columbus Airport, which was far from the exceptional stay I had hoped for.

Upon arrival, I was met with a rude front desk clerk who not only disregarded my honors status but also demonstrated an unprofessional demeanor. When I called the front desk to request additional pillows, the staff member yelled at me over the phone instead of explaining the short-staffed situation. Additionally, the few times speaking with them was always met with them cutting me off in talking and being rude. This lack of courtesy and consideration left a sour taste from the start.

The disappointments continued as I ventured to the breakfast area, only to find it in a state of disarray and uncleanliness. The lack of attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards was concerning and left me questioning the overall quality of the establishment.

The issues extended to my room, which was in a state of disarray upon check-in. The in-house phones were non-functional, making it difficult to communicate with the hotel staff regarding any concerns. This lack of basic amenities and proper room maintenance was disheartening.

To make matters worse, my family and I encountered a distressing situation on Saturday night when we returned to the hotel. People were smoking marijuana in close proximity to the front door, and we were propositioned by a group in a late model Chevy Suburban. This uncomfortable encounter was deeply unsettling and cast a shadow over our overall experience.

Adding to the growing list of concerns, I learned that another guest had fallen victim to vandalism, with their windows broken and vehicle broken into. This disturbing incident further highlighted the lack of security measures in place.

The overall decline of this establishment from what it once was, fifteen years ago, is disheartening. The Embassy Suites Columbus Airport has fallen to a level that can only be described as that of a dirty motel. The experiences I encountered during my stay were far from what I had expected, and I am left feeling disappointed and concerned for the safety of guests. I will never stay here again and have doubts concerning this once fantastic brand that is in decline.

I hope that this feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement and that the necessary steps will be taken to address these issues promptly. It is my sincere hope that future guests will not have to encounter the same disheartening circumstances that marred my recent...

Comfy, spacious, clean rooms.....Friendly, attentive staff.....beautiful decor......great fitness center.... super nice, and very well maintained /clean indoor pool and hot tub!! The "Happy Hours" free drinks and snacks from 5:30pm to 7:30pm is extremely nice, and much appreciated! The free breakfast buffet is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! The food is delicious, fresh, and well presented every morning! !! THE BREAKFAST/BUFFET STAFF ARE NOT ONLY VERY HELPFUL AND ATTENTIVE TO YOUR NEEDS....THEY ARE SUPER FRIENDLY AND GENUINELY NICE PEOPLE!!! NICK, AND SAM WERE VERY HELPFUL AND PERSONABLE. I ENJOYED MORNING GREETINGS AND CONVERATIONS WITH NICK (who is a very attentive, friendly, hard working guy). FROM THE 1ST DAY, ONE EMPLOYEE SPECIFICALLY STOOD OUT FROM THE REST OF THE OTHER GREAT EMPLOYEES THOUGH........ A MAN NAMED KEITH! KEITH ALWAYS REMEMBERED US, AND GREETED BOTH MY HUSBAND, AND I WITH A BIG SMILE, FRIENDLY CONVERSATION AND EXTREME HELPFULNESS EVERY SINGLE MORNING!!! ;) KEITH GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND HIS JOB DUTIES FOR SURE!!! I myself am NOT a "morning person" lol, but because of Keiths extremely friendly, caring demeanor. ... I have looked forward to waking up early to go to the breakfast buffet to see his smiling face! He brings a great start to each morning, not only for my husband and I, ... but I'm sure several others, including his coworkers!! It's hard to find such genuinely good, hardworking people that truly care about their job, as well as other people...... but Embassy Suites has done an Amazing job finding just that in this man, as well as some of their other employees! ! We have been here since Sunday night, and won't be leaving until Friday afternoon. Although I'm anxious to get back home on Friday. ...... I will truly miss the comforts of this establishment and most of all.... I/we will miss seeing KEITH each morning, and the warmth he puts in our hearts each day with his great personality, strong work ethic, and genuine caring. He definitely easily puts a smile on our faces!!! This man is 1 in a million. .... Please do whatever it takes to assure that he stays here with your company, (give this great man a raise or something) lol and we will DEFINITELY be back to stay! Thanks so much Hope to be staying here again soon. We may even drive to Columbus just to enjoy the hotel for a mini weekend get away. 🤞🧿 Cassie & Dallas Meeker Van Buren/Findlay Oh (Rm...
