LYFE Kitchen and Kocktails — Restaurant in Columbus

I want to start off by saying that I used to come to this bar on the regular until I noticed that the liquor would make me sick as a dog once I got home and that’s off of just two drinks no matter what brand of liquor I chose . But I really liked the atmosphere so I started going back but only drinking wine when I go because of the alcohol . I booked my birthday party here recently only to find out they over booked and I no longer had a reservation on the day of the party . I was offered a refund then told that my guest and I could sit at the owners table because they dropped the ball for my birthday . We sit at the owners table and about 15 minutes later the owner came in with his date and basically made us leave from the table ! I was so humiliated and embarrassed that I will never step foot back in there again ! Multiple visits here with great service each time. They have a frozen drink that comes in many flavors, its good but has a little bit of a bitter taste to it thats hard to get used to. The chicken wings, burgers, fries, fried okra, and fish are very good. Great place to grab something to eat (and drink). The nightlife here is different each night as the crowd is mixed. Come early for a more classy, relaxed, mature atmosphere and late for more of a club/party vibe. Djs rockin on some evenings and plenty of TVs around too. Reserved areas available which is great for party's etc. I'm not sure of the age restrictions, but I'm noticing a younger crowd moving in, late evenings on the weekends....

This was the only non-fast food option I could find walking distance from hotel. As soon as I walked in the door around 7 pm on a Tuesday a security guard with what appeared to be bullet proof vest asked for ID. Not the type of greeting walking into a restaurant I was expecting. I should have turned around and left at that point but I stuck it out and sat at a table. The music was a Friday night club atmosphere that was so loud I’m glad I was solo because there would be no way to have a conversation with someone.
