The worst hotel stay we've ever had. MICE in our room! I never leave negative reviews but this place was unreal. The night we arrived (husband + me + our 2 year old) I found a pill on the floor in the middle of the room — thankfully, upon Googling, it was just Claritin. However I am appalled that this was missed. Any thorough cleaner would have picked it up. Our toddler isn't above putting things in his mouth & it could have been anything. It was unbelievably negligent of the hotel. I was upset, but we were so excited to be visiting Columbus so we shrugged it off and moved on with getting the little one to sleep for the night. The carpet had rips in it, just about every piece of furniture was broken somehow, and the room itself was just disgusting. We sucked it up since we were basically only sleeping there and out & about during the day. Day 2: I noticed a freezer bag of cookies my son & I had baked for the road had a hole in it and there were crumbs scattered across the top of the cabinet where it sat. When I mentioned it to my husband, he said our toddler had probably done it. I knew better, but I wanted to believe him. Day 3, our last night there: we put our toddler to bed and were sitting in the dark watching a show on my iPad when we heard a scuttling noise coming from the cabinet across the room. Flicked on my phone flashlight just in time to see a mouse at the cookies. It ran across the top of the cabinet and behind it. Despite my husband declaring war on the mouse we weren't able to get a picture or video of it after that. We were both livid and hardly slept. The next morning we had to leave to head home, when my husband asked to speak to the manager the receptionist told him the hotel would likely refund us at least part of our stay but the manager had to approve it. The manager "wasn't in yet" and they told us to call in a half hour. We called, but of course the receptionist had forgotten that the manager actually wasn't coming in that day at all! We called Norwood about once a day thereafter, and NEVER got the manager. They were always "out of office" or "just missed us". Eventually the receptionist told us that since we'd booked through an online service, we'd have to talk to them about a refund. We contacted the service, they reached out to the hotel, and the hotel still refused to refund us. I suspected they were giving us the run-around without any intention of following through, but I try to give others the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately they were dishonest and didn't deserve our confidence. Disgusting room, terrible customer service, dishonest. Stay anywhere else! Attached photos of the mouse poop we found EVERYWHERE when we started looking.

Don't stay here...their pictures are not accurate.Vacationing, we ended up here due to canceling at our 1st location because it did not have the breakfast and pool as advertised. So I figured I'd give this location a shot since it offered the breakfast and pool we wanted. Only to be told,NO POOL !! AND NO BREAKFAST !! They Advertise a view, there is NO View anywhere around !! I'm really getting sick of facilitates blaming covid still for not having breakfast or not opening their pool areas. Its laziness. And if your advertising things that us customers are paying for then offer a discounted rate And UPDATE THE AMENITIES AS THEY CHANGE !!! We DID NOT get the room we booked, but we're charged for it anyway. A deluxe king room here offered a sofa bed.instead we were given a king room.I had to walk to my room and back to lobby with all my bags 3 times at check-in due to the key card not working in the door. Was given a new room because they couldn't fix it.The room offered a desk with no chair.tub with no plug,so u couldn't take a relaxing bath. There were several ppl out in front of the hotel by the road that held up signs asking for money.turned out that they were staying at the hotel, sharing a room, and would work in shifts out along the road.others would stand out in the parking lot with their backpacks and wait for ppl to drive up to them, looked like a total drug exchange taking place until dark.at night the fire alarms would go off due to other ppl smoking in their rooms.the hallways reeked of weed use.the 1 pop machine that worked was like playing Russian roulette, whichever pop was pictured with the button was NOT WHAT U GOT..my son is diabetic,so yes it does matter what we get.we we're treated like we were theives when I wuld ask for clean towels and wash clothes.I was asked if I had returned the used one's and then they only wanted to give me 1 towel and 1 washcloth for 2 ppl.At checkout I was given no receipts for my stay and had to ask for 1,also, the lobby attendant did Not go Chek my room for damage, even tho there is $100 deposit at checkin. All the time hoping that I don't get charged for the already very damaged room that I was given. There really needs to be better regulations standards for hotel owners and management.will not be back.was nothing good about this location

DO NOT GO HERE! If I could give zero stars I would. I was in room 228 and it has bedbugs. Told and showed the bug to the front lobby guy. No offering of refund but told me I could get another room after house cleaning was done (Lie). I asked later and they had no clue what I was talking about and really wasn't in the mood to argue & I was leaving the next morning so I stayed in my room. Evey night the other guest are really loud and would talk in front of my room at 3am (I had a room that is on a corner so I overlooked this). The pool is freezing cold and it use to be an outdoor pool and is now very slippery so walk very slowly. The wooden part I thought was like a deck but under it was a hot tub that doesn't work. It is very dangerous & slippery in there and I have pictures of the pool. I called before I booked this dump and asked "Is waffles included in the breakfast? " She replied "Yes." So I booked it with the hope of eating waffles, but no waffles. 1st morning there I asked where is the waffles. They told me they had waffles before covid but not now. I went down after 8:30am and they pop tarts and peanuts, 2nd day granola bars or fruit bars and ask the guy "When did they stop serving breakfast?" "9:30" he told me. This was after 8:30am, 3rd no breakfast asked the lady "I thought the breakfast ended at 9:30, so when does it end? " "No, it ends at 8:30." The card(s) to let you in the hotel didn't work and we even got a new cards incase it was the cards, the cards worked for the room just not for the outside. One of us had to stay in the hotel room to let the others in or my daughter walked across the hotel to let us in. The Red Roof Inn was right behind us so becareful the parking lot gets full and sometimes people who are checking into the Red Roof would park behind you and unload their vehicle. This place staircase (and some hallways) are nasty, but I thought it was because it being Ohio the stairs were nasty because of snow and other weather conditions caused it to look nasty, but now I think it was a red flag that I overlooked.

They only had one person who could check people in while another person (the manager) was running around. We had to wait maybe 10 mins for that. When it was my turn, while the lady wasn't rude the hospitality was SERIOUSLY lacking (this was just the start of dealing with her). Just mumbled around then was talking to her 'mom' about getting her snacks and yelling back and forth with the manager. We had to give a $100 deposit that wasn't noted anywhere.

We got to our room and it was stuffier than in the hallway. Figured the AC just needed time to kick in. Nope. It was broken. Called and they said they'd send someone, they didn't after about an hour. Walked to the front desk. Said they'd send someone. Never did. Came back and found the maintenance guy myself. He followed me and came to fix it. He couldn't. The lady at the desk originally said she didn't have any open rooms. Well after the AC guy left he said he'd check back on what to do. Never did. Had to walk back down there. Basically back and forth walking all evening (since calling them didn't do anything). I got confirmation from the manager about another option, but he told me to check back in about 30 mins. My job to do apparently.

So eventually they gave us 2 different rooms (as we had 4 of us) but it was full beds (vs Queen). Although I was just happy since we at least had a cold room. The first room we were in (before we moved) had a broken toilet seat and something nasty in the shower. The new rooms - 1 smelled like old wet clothes (found out the floor was wet) and the other room smelled like just mildew. Gross. Both new and old rooms had stained towels (eww) and cig burns on the sheets. The hallways smelled like a mix of mildew and weed. Then found out the pool was closed due to cleaning (one of the main reasons we stayed here). Couldn't get the person mumbling at the desk to tell me when it opened.

Cue the next morning: Noticed there wasn't any shampoo in the room. I walked to the front desk - the manager said they were out. The employee beside him that was normal apologized. What a disaster. Headed to see what would come about with breakfast. Walked past a different lady from the night before at the desk. Silent as could be ha. Noticed she had her kid with her. Odd. Breakfast was on one of those 3 tiered fruit baskets with just literally, rice Krispy treats, fruit cups, and donuts. The juice drink machine was broken, which they had lemonade and coffee. Coffee looked gross. The lemonade was good. The options from the pictures of the place were laughable. I asked if what was out was all there was or if there was more. She said that was all that was there ha. A hotel having what looked like could feed a single family out. Later my wife went out and they restocked it. So confusing. Nobody knows what's going on in this place. Had to ask for silverware since almost everything there required it. The place was super shady all the way around too. Didn't feel very safe.

I'm usually pretty understanding about hotels but this was just a downright horrible experience and recent reviews say almost the same as I have. Just stay away. $122+/night for this place when they should pay YOU...

So I wish I could post pictures on here because there was a good bit that I took pictures of. From the very moment of getting into the room I noticed the fridge was sitting funny. Upon a closer look I seen that the entertainment center it was sitting in was crumbling as if it had suffered many times of water damage wearing on the presswood. There were stains all over the floors and walls. One very large blue stain right between the beds. Part of the bedframe was missing on one bed. It was definitely not a good looking room but for the price I thought it was passable. I would have gave a single star if we did not lose power in most of the room the next morning. We had to shower and brush our teeth by flashlight. When complaining to the front desk we found many people were down there complaining. It is not the responsibility of the desk attendent to fix and maintain. We were handed a business card with the management number that would not answer. And later the employee had the management on the phone who just talked through the employee rather than coming in and addressing the issues. So ZERO stars. Poor management and very unprofessional. From my neice: Throughout the building there were traces of black mold, mildew, grime, and even blood. Some of the lamps had rips going through their shades whereas one had FBI written on it in sharpie. The place that the fridge sat on was not only unlevel; it had mold on its surface as well. This made it unsafe for any food to be put into the fridge itself. Not to mention, there was an unidentified bug crawling on that very unsafe surface. The overview of the hotel showed only gorgeous photos and claimed there to be a pool. However, both the pool and the exercise room was closed with no notice either on the booking.com site, nor on the door. Besides that, while there was a housekeeping room, there was little to no signs of the house keepers or cleaners having cleaned our room before arrival. The worker at his desk handed us a card to call. It didn't go through. Then, he called his manager who refused to come down here saying that we should have reported these issues within 30 minutes of arrival. However nobody should have to search for mold within their payed for room. Besides that, the power went out on our last day and a woman who was complaining at the desk said that this had already happened twice during her stay and that she was still planning on being there for a week. By the time that we left, the power still had not returned. Okay it forced me to give it a star, but know it is a...
