This review will be lengthy but well deserved.
I am a former employee for Marriott. I also did task force with Marriott. I am pleased to say this was one of the BEST hotel experiences I have had. After Marriott I went to IHG after IHG I am now with Hilton. I had the best Check-In Experience with Stephen at this property. I was greeted immediately with a smile when I walked in the door not only by Stephen but April as well. Stephen hit Marriott Standards at Check-In without making it feel as if it’s Standards. Stephen even gave me the opportunity to check-in early. 3 weeks ago I stayed in Washington DC, at a very expensive location, and I was VERY dissatisfied. It really put a damper on our entire trip solely by the Hospitality we didn’t receive. Even if amenities you should have you don’t have happens at times. Some people do not understand those things. Most employees do the best they can with what they have. But that’s where your customer service and Hospitality skills really should shine. It’s really putting yourself into the other persons shoes. The room was clean and quite no issues. Pool table in the lobby is a great touch. Parking easy accessible and complimentary. The lobby does have a market with a nice wide variety of snacks/drinks. Unfortunately I did not get to spend time at the pool due to activities we were in town for. Both breakfast employees were great. It was a busy weekend with kids soccer I believe. Their perseverance really made them shine. With one breakfast lady even taking my plate to throw it away for me. The location of this hotel is amazing. Super accessible to food, gas, mall, and entertainment. Check-Out with Sunny was pleasant as well. I really do believe this is the best hotel experience I have had. Please pat all these shinning stars on the back as well as the housekeeper who cleaned my room prior to me arriving. Thank you for this amazing stay. And remember to all who is reading, it is always important to share your POSITIVE and NEGATIVE feelings to all places of business.
Thank you again Springhill Suites Columbus...
Read moreI was incredibly impressed with this hotel. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The common areas were well maintained and spotless. ||The room was spacious and I loved the modern layout. The closet was quite large which wasn't necessarily important to us, but could be to other guests. It was very nice to store our luggage out of the way and out-of-sight.||We purchased an American Girl package which was an adorable add-on. It included a bed (that folds into a chair), a robe and slippers - all to take home - along with cookies and milk for a bedtime snack. It was such a nice detail for our American Girl trip. The kids really enjoyed it.||A couple slight cons: The pool water was fairly cloudy. We took a look at the pool but never did use it due to the cloudiness. ||Our room was near the outdoor patio and the evening weather was quite pleasant. We could hear some talking but it wasn't bad. We turned on the TV to drown it out but the kids said they couldn't really hear it anyway. I can imagine it could possibly be more of an issue on a warm Friday or Saturday night. It really is a nice patio area, though. ||Breakfast was adequate and we always appreciate a complimentary breakfast. It was pretty hectic inside the buffet room and some attire in the area was questionable (lack of shoes on kids, teens wearing their blankets from home) but this is more reflective of the guests and not necessarily the hotel.||Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this...
Read moreMy family and I stay at a lot of hotels throughout the year. This hotel was spacious, clean, and met our needs. The building is actually 2 hotels into one...Springhill and Towneplace. The hotel was cazy busy with families. I think there was a hockey tournament going on somewhere close. There were lots of kids everywhere.
We had no issues checking in. I requested a top floor room and was given top floor. My husband requested to stay away from the elevators. The elevators do not have rooms across from them so no matter where your room is located, there will not be elevator noise.
The rooms are large. There are two tvs in the room. Plenty of pillows and blankets. The bed is firm but not overly hard. The closet is the size of a small bedroom. The bathroom is large. The bathroom has the barndoor style door which is not ideal when you are sleeping in the middle of the night and someone needs to go to the restroom. They have to slide the door closed and it is kind of loud. They also can't turn the lights on to use the restroom because the bathroom door is made mostly of frosted glass. The light is blinding in the room at night. The curtains are black out for the most part. We did hear hallway noise before bed but we brought 3 fans. 2 personal fans and a large fan...it did the trick to drowned out the hallway noise. Breakfast was the standard hotel breakfast minus making your own waffles.
I would absolutely...
