Purchased standard stock couch and loveseat on November, 2020. Was told they would be in and ready for delivery on January 11th 2021. After not being contacted to schedule delivery, I called the Easton store, on about 1/14. Was told that there was going to be a delay due to a shipment of bad leather. New target was end of February and I could call mid-February to confirm status. called again on 2/9, and was told there would be another delay until the end of March due to bad reclining motors. I asked if that was guaranteed to be the last delay. She could not say and offered to have her manager contact me the next day. He did call and then said it would be beginning of April due to bad leather. I shared that was the reason I was given in January. Also expressed dissatisfaction since they have never reached out to us to reset our expectations. Shared was considering requesting a full refund. He said we would be eligible, but could offer a partial discount if we agreed. He would have to see what he could do and would call me back. He did call back and the discount was lower than what I expected. I would get a better price if I bought them this weekend due to their sale. Requested full refund in response since there was still no guarantee of when we would receive. He agreed. Everyone I spoke to was very nice and professional. That is why they get 2 stars. The corporation who is not giving them the information and support to make customers like me happy...
Read moreSalesperson was personable and knowledgeable about the recliners. However , we had come to purchase a particular new recliner and ended up buying a floor model that the salesperson said was if higher quality with better materials used. We purchased the floor model, took it home, put it together and then went outside and did some outside chores. 2 hours later came back in sat down in my new high quality la a boy recliner, that was when I discovered my feet couldn’t touch the floor unless I rocked forward, also the tension of the chair back was too tight. The chair is just made for a larger/taller person. Called the la a boy store at Easton in Columbus, told them the chair really doesn’t fit me and said I would like to return for the recliner I was originally going to buy, same price, hadn’t even sat in the chair I brought home more than 10 minutes. I was told to adjust the chair back tension and there are no returns on floor models. There is nothing wrong with the flour model recliner I brought home other than it’s too big for a person my size. Tried all the adjustments, feet hang about 4-6” off the ground, the recliner handle is so far down I have to lean way over to reach. I know it’s my fault for not trying everything out in store, but really, 2 hours after the purchase with 10 minutes in the chair they won’t allow me to return for the equal value chair that fit me perfectly? Not happy. Never buying another thing...
Read moreLong story short - don't take your kids with you to shop here, families don't appear to be welcome:
My family went on Saturday afternoon to purchase a couch. We liked the selection, liked the features and had 2 picked out that we wanted to price. Then we waited for a sales rep... and waited.
Other people were greeted within minutes of walking in, in fact we saw three other people walk in after ourselves and were immediately assisted. The difference with us? Kids.
At least that is what it felt like. The fact that we were furniture shopping with two younger kids made us feel like we were not welcome. As a quick call out - there were more reps working than customers in the store. We walked back to the restroom right past 3 reps and they didn't stop talking amongst themselves to even say hi, and no one rep on the floor would come within 20 steps of us.
Luckily we went to another store nearby, were helped immediately, by a rep who not only greeted and made our kids feel welcome - but went specifically to get them popcorn and to give us time to discuss what we wanted to purchase.
We bought more from them than we had planned, for less than we would have spent on (by what we could tell) a similar setup. I don't plan on visiting La-Z-Boy again, and would not recommend it to anyone with kids based on our experience. But if anyone asks I know a great place on the other side of Easton that...
