The Views — Hotel in Coronado

What can't be said about The Del that hasn't already been said? Place is a gem! Stayed at The Views building. Updated rooms to compete with the likes of the Westin. Only had one snafu, which was while trying to park at the south parking shack. Gentleman running the shack said I couldn't park there while I wanted to run up to my room for about 15 minutes....even though there was absolutely no cars parked there and there was ample space. Asked him to park my car instead then, since I've paid for valet ($50 a night) and he said that he could not because the tag on my car keys was red and he could not valet my car. Isn't that what a car valet does....park your car for you, especially at $50 a night?? (-1 🌟) I left and had the car at the main Valet. Daniel and David were quite helpful.

Next day, ice skating rink seats are the way to enjoy the ambiance. Very fun and family atmosphere. Plenty of good food and selections for everyone.

Another must, to enjoy the views and some great food is the Sun Deck! Shayne was absolutely awesome with our precocious little 2 year old! By far a wonderful experience and food!! Thanks Shayne!!!

By all means look for David, Daniel and Shayne as they will make your experience much more enjoyable while...

We saw rats on first floor balconies. They didn't clean the rooms every day, and when they did clean said room, they wouldn't do everything needed to clean the room or leave the proper amenities like coffee and towels. Upon our initial arrival there was (and still is) dust on our headboards, phone, and clock and the fridge was still full of the previous guests food and drinks. Food and drinks at the hotel were overpriced. At some restaurants/bars on the resort you have good service. Others not so much. You find yourself waiting often for the waiter or waitress. When it comes down to it, you pay for the name "Del Coranado." As far as positives goes, the beach is awesome and you could spend all day there with the taco bar nearby for food and drinks. For a fee you can rent chairs and umbrellas that the staff sets up/takes down for you which was extremely convenient. The staff of the hotel is kind and friendly also. Surrounding restaurants are great and totally worth the walk (Mc.P's Pub, Night and Day Cafe, Coronado...

Was not put in Ocean Tower, instead we were put in Cabana 4124, right next to the Towers. We were never told about construction being done around the Towers. Upon check in we were offered an upgrade to the Towers for an additional $199.00 a night? Seriously?? If anything we should have been moved or reaccomodated to another area away from the construction for what I am paying a night here. We were awakened by trucks and machinery at 07:00 this morning, surrounded by noise. This is unacceptable! I came here to relax and sleep in, atrocity. These rooms/cabanas, have no value with this nuisance going on. I would expect some type of compensation. Have been waiting twenty minutes at this point, for a Manager to call back. Unacceptable .
