The Urby is just a really beautiful place! Moving from Coppell living in 2500 sq ft for 22 years to just under 700 sq ft (and with a beautiful balcony!) on the 26th floor, I am glad I chose The Urby. The property managers, especially Carly, and Natasha, who helped me though this transition to the Urby. They answered all my questions and are there in a minute to assist all residents. Also, Courtland, Lauren, Shazad, and Mo, and so many other professional staff are there to greet you and also attend to whatever your needs are.
The pool is heated year round, the gym is brand new, with the best equipment Iâve ever seen. They also have a calendar of events, many events are held at The Meteor, with a great liquor selection, fantastic wines, and champagnes. Grab some coffee and a muffin, or order from the full scale menu, truly beautiful! The study areas where you can work from are stylish and pristine. Amazon lockers for your orders when they arrive, and so much more.
For those trying to get back in shape like me, in the gym there is a beautiful wood-paneled secondary area devoted to classes for Yoga, HIIT, BreathWork, Sound Bath, Hot Yoga, Stretching, and so much more. Perhaps on day, Brazilian Jujitsu instruction (wish list!) A stylish tower now completed with approx 260 units on 27 floors, the second tower 800â away is almost finished, for another 250-300 apartments.
Amenities are great, dog-walking park/area, and so much more. Floors and elevators are secure as everything requires use of the Latch app to access the building (while on video) to move about inside the building and this Latch app makes sure that non-residents canât just walk in and go up the elevators. The Urby 24-hour security in the parking garage and inside and around the building itself. Cameras in all elevators, in the gym, etc. so it is a highly-secure place to live, and I really like that.
In my gorgeous apartment, the appliances are gorgeous, definitely not made in the US, more like from Sweden, a very stylish and very sophisticated four burner induction range top, but the top doesnât get hot yet cooks food perfectly and the induction/convection/infrared oven is pretty awesome too. There is a built-in dishwasher that matches the cabinetry, you wouldnât know there was a dishwasher there. A Samsung microwave, beautiful sinks and faucets, stacked washer and dryer, nice roomy closets with nice drawers and cabinets, and my favorite thing besides the 17âx 5â deck that looks out at the city of Dallas is the huge glass shower in the bathroom, it has to be 4â x 6â, and is just powerful, relaxing, just wonderful! Thank...
Read moreI never thought Iâd write a review before even moving in. I always hated reading reviews of how good a leasing agent is, but never about the place. Well this one deserves absolute praise. But first, the Urby is an absolute dream when you align with the less is more concept. At first⌠I definitely did not lol. Why would I pay so much for less, thatâs insulting. Then I saw how much the community interacts on their social media. I saw residents loving the Urby and posting amazing content. I had residents freely give me info about their stay here as home. The sense of community⌠itâs real.
Itâs confusingly real. No corporate feel. The staff is truly happy. The residents are truly happy. Everyone here seems great because the environment is connective in that way. Iâve visited the place 3 times now. Each time, Iâm more convinced and excited to call this my home, come December this year. I promise to update yall on my actual stay. For now, I have to speak on Isabelle, my leasing agent.
Wow sheâs a real one. As simple and un elegant as that is. It would define the experience. Outstandingly customer service an experience oriented. With a zero percent fake attitude of nice. Youâd just have to visit her to experience what I mean by that. Anywho, it helped with trust building. At the end of the day this is a transaction & sheâs in sales. So when I was ready to sign on a unit, it could come with some un pleasantries. With Belle, nope. She absolutely went above and beyond to get me a great lease, unit, and assurances on upgrading me to a better unit if need be. Thatâs amazing. My move is so far out. She solved everything. Very quickly and effectively might I add. After that, one could expect less customer svc, since the sale is already done. Nope again.
Iâve had to make a million decisions a day lately, and this resulted in me needing to move up my lease sooner. To date, Iâve inconvenienced the staff & Belle by having them re do my lease at least 3 times! I felt so guilty because all these inconveniences are due to another person making my life difficult. But Isabelle did an excellent job at reassuring me through this very recent event. Wow.
I will write more a novel, come December & forward. But for now. Thank you Isabelle. Iâd buy ice from you in Antarctica. Simply due to trust and authenticity. I will name the rest of the staff by name on my next review, but for sure huge shoutout Shezad, Mo & Gracie all at the...
Read moreIf I could give Dallas Urby zero stars, I would. Living in this building was an absolute nightmare, and I wouldnât recommend it to anyone.
First and foremost, I was sexually harassed in my unit by maintenance workers who made inappropriate comments and advances toward me, including making gay references to my sexuality. After multiple complaints, they were fired, though the exact reasons remain unknown. Despite this, I had to fight to terminate my lease various timesâa process that should have been straightforward, given the severity of what happened.
Living on the penthouse level was a disaster. My neighbors showed zero respect for communal living, constantly blasting music at all hours. Security was practically nonexistentâthe front desk was often left unattended, and there were usually no security personnel on-site. To make matters worse, the gates to the parking garage were constantly broken, allowing random people to come and go freely, which made me feel completely unsafe.
The fire alarms went off constantly for no reason, disrupting my peace and further proving how poorly managed this building is. Speaking of management, there was a revolving door of staff, making it impossible to get consistent answers or help when needed. After all the issues I faced, I finally agreed to terminate my leaseâonly to see the regional manager, Natalie, and the general manager resign shortly after.
The quality of construction is terrible. My closet doors and appliances were constantly breaking, and my A/C and heating barely worked. Despite repeated maintenance requests, nothing was ever appropriately fixed. The real dealbreaker came when one of my vehicles was damaged, and on the day I moved out, my other vehicle was stolen. The lack of security in this building speaks for itself.
To top it all off, I am still waiting for my security deposit to be returned. Itâs been nothing but excuses and delays from management.
The ONLY good part of this experience was the leasing staffâNatasha, Carly, and the rest of you ladies did your best to help in an impossible situation, and I appreciate you for that.
Everything else? Stay far, far away. Iâve never experienced such poor upper management, security failures, and blatant disregard for resident safety and well-being. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to liveâDallas Urby is...
