I went here for new years Eve. I will never return. Their customer service is extremely poor and the staff is rude. This is what made my experience poor.
Never in my life have I ever had such a poor experience in a hotel like this. They should be investigated and coached. Until they fix these issues which are pretty consistent, I would not recommend anyone to stay at this...
Read moreThis place was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Before I delve into the negatives, let me take a moment to highlight the staff. The team here is INCREDIBLE. From the ladies at the desk to the gentleman who introduced himself as the general manager, they went above and beyond to make the best of a bad situation. My honest advice to them: you all deserve to work at a five-star hotel that matches your professionalism, dedication, and incredible work ethic. You’re truly a credit to hospitality. Now, let’s address the room itself… (see photos for reference).
First impressions? The struggle began with the door. It was either misaligned or damaged because we had to literally throw our bodies into it to get it to open. Once inside, we were greeted by a foul, sock-like odor that hit immediately. Not a great start.
Next up, we tried to turn on the TV—only to discover it wasn’t even plugged in. The ever-helpful general manager came to fix it for us, which we appreciated. However, once the TV was working, we were left watching a very small screen (likely under 32 inches) with limited channels. On top of that, the buttons on the remote required considerable effort to even change channels.
Moving on to the bathroom. To put it mildly, it was a disaster. The door wouldn’t close properly, which I suspect is due to the fact that the bottom of the door was completely rotted. Looking up, I noticed a missing light fixture, leaving a large hole in the ceiling with paint peeling around it. The ceiling also had a shoddy patch job that looked like it was done by someone with no experience. The caulking around the tub was the worst I’ve ever seen, and the mirror seemed to be barely hanging on. The sink was corroded—on the outside. And to top it all off, the water pressure in the shower was so weak it was almost unusable.
The condition of the flooring was another issue. There were huge gaps in the poorly installed engineered flooring, and, of course, I stubbed my toe. The walls had hooks where pictures might have once hung, but now they’re just bare. As for amenities? Sure, there was an ironing board—but no iron to go with it. The USB ports on every single lamp in the room didn’t work, either.
Now for the positives (if I can call them that). The pillows were soft and comfortable, which was a small comfort as we tried to forget the rest of the room. The location is also fantastic, right across the street from some of the main attractions.
In summary, the staff, pillows, and location are the only redeeming qualities of this hotel. Everything else about the room was appalling—from the smell, to the disrepair, the paper thin walls, to the complete lack of basic functionality. My advice to the owners: your incredible staff deserves a facility that matches their commitment to quality and hospitality. Until then, I cannot recommend this...
Read moreJust because the location and the price may seem like you got a really good deal do not let that fool you. The employees are cold rude and extremely unprofessional. Also just so you know they DO NOT ACCEPT ANY CASH APP, CHIME, VENMO ANY ONLINE BANKING CARDS for the deposits so even if you go ahead and you pay for your reservation already no matter how little or long it might be and when you go into actually check in they will not accept your reservation even though you've already paid for it and tell you you need to leave because they will not accept those for the deposit. I immediately called Agoda which it took down almost 2 months to even be able to get the hotel to pick up the phone or respond to an email while trying to investigate this so I can get my money back. The final verdict was the hotel refused to give me a refund basically told them no they were going to steal my money even though they did not let me stay there and they know they did not let me stay there! So after I was told this 2 months later I called the hotel to ask them why they would do that and the lady got really smart with me and asked me why I would be calling him because I was supposed to call the third party who would then call them and I was not supposed to contact them well it was my money they stole so hell yeah I contacted them. I had to stay here before and they were always really crappy but when I went to go check in this time the lady said that I should know that they don't accept that card because I had stayed there before oh yeah I had to stay there before and I use this card before so how was I supposed to know that. Do you really think I would have just thrown my hard earn money to some crappy company? Absolutely not! Unfortunately this time of year it was extremely expensive and I needed a place to stay so I found somewhere cheap and figured I'd be okay for one night clearly I was wrong I ended up having to go and get another reservation and paying for another hotel that night where I had to pay a lot more and I'm still out the money from this hotel. They are refusing to give me my money back so everybody please be aware and do not go to this hotel unless you want to get screwed over one way or another. On top of them being dirty which I like I said I stay there before they have tons of people that od there the cops are always there and this is not me just saying this because I'm upset with them this is the truth just read the reviews before you decide to waste your money here. And definitely do not pay for this hotel until you get there. I would recommend never paying ahead of time but unfortunately we have to do that a lot these days so just be careful where you spend your money and call and get all the details before you actually pay a third party company. Good luck...
